You shouldnt try focus on air dribbling right now . Focus on when to hit the ball in the air etc. In low ranks if your good in the air as in u dont miss the ball etc u will be at a good advantage and try learning some speedflips or diagonal flips

1. be in ball game MOST of the time
2. grab that big boost in your corner then go to net
   2a. this puts you in a better position, with boost, and less awkward
   2b. youre ENTIRE entry into net and being in net was just not good, you came in and drifted into the wall, facing away from net, no ball cam, back to the ball, you have no clue whats going on with the ball, and even if you did know you cant do anything from your position, just a bad entry, simple as that

then you had to reverse to get into position, again, not good, then turn your camera, NO, use BALL CAM

by the time you FINALLY made it to net facing the field you wasted a good bit of time doing nothing, and have little to no boost, and again, arent in ball cam, then you sit there and dont move, move around a little, maybe wiggle, or drive in a circle (BALL CAM) and keep momentum (eventually you did)
then you just read the ball wrong, you are facing HARD left when he shoots it from directing infront of you, and you can tell he is gonna hit it beforehand, stay where you were and either jump if its above, or drive forwards and use boost if he shoots it infront of you, if its behind you, tough luck you just werent positioned ideally, but in silver that doesnt matter, and then finally, you backflipped while boosting the entire time, pointless, dont boost for an entire flip like that

you only turn ball cam off in some situations, at your current skill level that is just about only when you are going for a big boost pad and wanna make sure you are driving into it, which involves a quick check, not a 10 second off ball cam check, like 1-3 seconds maximum, get in line with boost, back to ball cam

you need to have ball cam on, it lets you know where ball is at all times without having to actually look at ball, you can be in ball cam and then look at other players around the ball knowing the ball is in the center of your monitor, then you can look back at ball to hit it

unlucky, simple as that, at higher levels, you could have done better, but at your skill level its just unlucky really, all that matters is you went for the ball, got your save, you did fine, thats fundamental, you NEED to learn fundamentals and thats it, ball cam and then work on HITTING THE BALL, Ill repeat myself, that is ALL you need to worry about right now, and SLOWLY learn to hit the ball better, I say slowly cause you cant rush it, you need to develop the ability to hit the ball better overtime, but that requires you to be hitting the ball consistently first, then you can start to hit it harder, try to hit it where you want to (accuracy)

fundamentals means just the very basic level of the game

you gotta be able to hit the ball and drive around where you want, which is car control, if I wanna get a big boost pad, I drive into the boost, but its VERY common at low ranks to miss the boost, that means you did NOT drive where you wanted to, so you lack car control

all you need to do is learn to DRIVE, HIT THE BALL, use ball cam, and yes turn off camera shake

literally just those 4 things can get you into gold, then you add in BASIC arials and you get platinum, which you just did in that save, a basic arial, you jumped for the ball, you already got that down

you gave him too much room, at the start, I wouldnt have pushed as far, still good to pressure a little bit, but he obviously was gonna beat you to the ball, so you got awkward, then he hits it to the wall, you're backing up, good, then he hits it out and you keep backing up, now he has PLENTY of room to take a shot, that isnt good, go to 0:07 in that clip, thats right about when I would quit reversing and charge him and hit the ball, either I beat him, or I get a 50 and he doesnt have control anymore

what I try telling my friend in lower ranks in situations like this is to turn around if possible and drive back to net, IN BALL CAM, SLOWLY, dont increase the gap between you and the opponent, shorten it, drive back but not full speed, let him get a little closer, slowly, then when he gets close you can turn and challenge him really quickly

if he is dribbling (higher ranks) its harder, but for you that could work

I'm not on right now so I cant clip it, but like when I say this I mean you and the opponent are both driving forwards into your net, you are infront of him, he has the ball, he is boosting and going fast, your driving without boost, he gets closer to you, you turn around and hit the ball against him

being in ball cam is what lets you see the ball while you are driving into your net

and then when you challenge him for the ball, it should be before you actually get to your net, do it early, like maybe halfway between your net and the midfield line

When I first started playing, I didn’t have ball cam on because it was a lot easier to control my car, and ball cam threw my spacial awareness, but you need to have to it, it’s so much more helpful and better, you have a better sense of what is going on and better vision, you just have to learn where your car is when using it and practice no matter how disorienting it is, because ball cam is very useful
