he was not in perfect position since you went for a double flip reset he didnt think the ball would just fall into the middle of the net (he was ACTIVILY turning around when your camera panned to him) and why would you expect your teammate to finish your solo play if he thought the opponent would hit it away?

both opponents missed, which you should never plan for it, and he saw you had low/no boost and wanted to get back for a counter attack
