ranked is literally just whoever is the fastest + most consistent wins so the fun and fastest way to rank up is just grinding freeplay until you can make very good fast solo plays and once ur in gc2+ u can start effectively using "gamesense" to outplay people, in a lower rank like c2 though i would say literally just grind out speeding up ur playstyle to the max because that alone can get u into ssl if ur fast enough
