I'm not even a mechy champ i don't focus on mechs i just have game sense. the biggest thing diamond and below needs to understand and work on is that the goal isn't just to score. the goal is to keep your opponent from scoring on you. For example i go into my games with the mindset of doing anything i can to keep the ball from crossing over to my half of the field without putting my tm8 in a bad postion. so that if i fail my tm8 has the time and the ability to save the ball. also means not throwning myself at the ball like a monkey just to get a touch.
