yeah im just saying like, its funny how earlier a plat/gold freestyler came at me saying im silver because i did an airdribble bump and "thats not hard" well in the clip i completely boost starved the enemy team so i wouldnt get prejumped and drove up the wall without grabbing boost to make the play not look threatening, then instantly rushed the shot making it look like im going for a double touch , then air rolling down into the air dribble bump, shocking the defense, and taking out the last defender (who jumped off backboard, something silvers cant do) to win the 2v1 play
also the clip was in champ/gc lobbies, my champ games are pretty much GC at this point, as all players have GC badges... but my teammate had the mechanics of a bronze which is what made me post the clip to begin with, this season has been tilting me; teammates who are boosted and enemies who are smurfing or lower rank than they usually are
And the funniest part of all? i know the dude said i was silver because when i airdribbled i only air rolled when it was absolutely necessary, i didnt do any of that flashy air roll the whole time and tornado spin... obvious the gold/plat freestyler would call the comp player trash, cause he doesnt know 💀

I don't mean to be that guy but constant air roll (using directional) isn't always just to be flashy. It gives you a way to control you car with more minuscule movements midair. While I get that there are quite a few people who do it for the purpose of looking cool and that stopping air roll can be useful, especially for a drag, it is not right to just discount the idea of constant air roll. That being said, I do think the judgement made against you was rushed and that silvers would not be playing at the standard shown there. Your game sense is surely more developed with the explanation you gave.

yeah thats very true, i want to say, that i am not talking about high level air roll; obviously that gives you more control in the air than just flying without air rolling.. but im talking about the flying up air rolling without actually thinking (something a gold/plat freestyler does) and ends up getting a bad touch cause they wanted to hit it hard but air rolled their wheels to hitting the ball.
Also air rolling is great to make fakes in the air.. you see someone air roll upside down, you think flip reset, you can use this to bait people in by air rolling upside down and going for a fast shot. i do it a lot
Main point is have a reason for what ur doing and be able to justify your decisions after, and watch replays, thats the best way to get better imo
