there will be people holding you back at every stage of the game, you just gotta improve enough to make up for that gap and then when u get to a higher rank youll probably be playing with a more even tm8

but now the game wont let us play together cause ranked difference or something

But how often does that happen

Plat is mostly about just sitting back and letting your teammate generate if he wants to so badly. Meanwhile, if you are better than plat, you should easily be able to play defense and make quick counterattacks. Once again if your better than plat, you should be faster as well and that can lead to easy goals

You boost down too much during the reset after the musty. You could tilt down a bit later and boost into the ball instead to slow down your cars momentum towards the ground, or you could boost more towards the ball/up before flipping for the last instead of boosting slightly down and in front of the ball.

Don't train flashy mechanics, like flip resets, and air dribbles. Focus on keeping possession close, and not just hitting the ball away. Also, flicks should be effective all the way up to diamond, so train your dribbles, and flicks.

What I usually do in a position like that is kinda float to the ball with the reset

Soft resets don't bounce off the ball far

So it's best if all you really want to do is just flip right afterwards

As kahn said, don't always hit the ball away. But it is still good to practice hitting the ball with power and accuracy. You can shoot the ball really hard by hitting it right after it bounces. Hook shots are also easy to do and often catch enemies off guard (especially if they stay in net waiting for you)
