but like you see right away i stay close to the ball and then tap the bottom of the ball as my first hit, and i hit it while its still in its upward movement phase

this allows my car to get underneath the ball nicely

being under the ball lets you change the balls speed and direction rather easily, which gives you an upperhand. also being under the ball makes it more of a carry ratherthan a push
