Play patient. When your teammate is attacking, be half the map length behind him. When you get the ball, control it. Dribble with it on the ground fast or go for an air play if your air car control is good and/or you’re close enough to the opponents net where you can get a decent shot or pass.

You gotta have very good control the ball. And if you can maintain that control and move at a fast speed, it’s too hard to defend

In general it's just a question of risk/reward. If you're in comms, then going for the bump can be very successful. An important tip to make it much lower risk is that it is often enough to just boost at the goalie and not flip into them. Just forcing them to dodge you can be more than enough for your mate to score. If things go bad, you can still turn and recover quickly.
If you are in solo queue, then it depends on how confident you are that you will get the bump. Not overcommitting and letting the 1v1 play out is a solid choice because either your teammate scores or you are in position to clean up or shadow defend a counter-attack

For air car control, go in the pillars map and be able to comfortably aerial all around the pillars for a long time. Then practice with the ball.

Tornado spin is when u use directional airroll (left or right) and use analogue stick the other direction
