you combine it with other movements to master air roll control

okay, when i say "learn" i mean practiced and understood something enough to be able to do it consistently. like, you can "learn" how to drive a manual car but without practice you will stall a lot, so both knowledge and experience are required.

its not terrible but its not easy. you can do a bad speedflip and miss it

remember that what makes the speedflip faster is the fact that you can flip and boost at the same time. if you were to boost and front flip, when your car is backwards, youd be boosting the wrong way. speedflipping lets you keep your car straight while boosting, so trying to get it fast to keep it straighter rather than turning too far to the side is what makes it so good.
