Don't give him too much time, fake challenging is very good(if you fake challenges a lot you can challenge even if it's risky, since he will think you fake challenge)

Work on your 1s game sense. It's just basic knowledge like do I get boost. Do I go for this. Watching a TT is enough.
Try to get good 50s, jumping into a ball is not enough. Also a TT is good for this.(TT=tutorial)

Don't have a bad mentality, think you can win this even if he is higher ranked. This will help you a lot

Thirdly you just play comp matches, for speed in everything and how to analyze what the best decision is its 1s, awerness would be 3s/4s, heatseeker 2s helps in car speed, read speed and decision making speed, and 2s would help with quick passing/creative passing plays and how to support/(make full use of) your teammate

Anyways astral you got any tips for me I have good mechs like flip resets consistently and air dribbles with good control but my game sense is decent but I definitely need better decision making my rotations are good and my ground play is good cause I know how to do 45 degree flicks and normal flicks over all
