Don't repeat the same mistakes if you already saw them in the game, so if you see your teammate is aggressive then just play more passive and take shots from the back if you don't get any chances. You play to their weaknesses and they play to yours

my binds:
air roll and power slide - LB/L1
boost - RB/R1
jump - A/X
ball cam - Y/🔺
and i currently use LT/L2 for air roll left, but i’m not sure this is optimal as it cuts acceleration in the air.

what would you recommend?
stay with LT/L2 because it won’t impact me long term
or change to a different bind that will help me overtime

As long as you get useful information from it, its easier to dribble with ball cam off but otherwise you should always have it on unless car cam give more useful information and if your going for boost then you should only have ball cam off for 1 second to see if the boost is there and then turn ball cam back on

it creates a slope which has an intensity that is determined by the input accel speed. having it at 0 will make it only have 2 statements (movement or no movement) , 0.01 will drastically increase the statements but make an almost vertical graph (about no time to go from 0 to 1), and 0.25 will have an insanely shallow graph, taking 0.25 seconds to get from 0 to 1 (being normal)

Take responsibility see where you messed up and learn from it watch back a replay of your ones game youll improve a decent bit

obviously the rank difference makes our views on the game significantly different, because you arent able to nor are you punished as hard for errors in gameplay

ive coached many players who are c1 in 1s and i see the same thing

that none of you are punished for nearly as many mistakes as you're led to believe, including the most minor things you wouldnt even notice

because thats pretty much all 1s is

at what level can you punish your opponent for making a mistake

and how can you avoid making those mistakes

its obviously not proportional between ranks, and in my opinion the difference between c1 and c2 compared to d3 and c1 are drastically different, with d3 to c1 being a much larger jump in skill due to many different factors. but still, it all follows the same principle

well its not as much about how much they punish you, but rather how well they punish you. Being punished more often only means you're making more mistakes. in high level 1s its solely about the quality of how you punish your opponent for even the smallest error. and if you cant pull through, then you're left behind

but yeah, compared to lower level 1s, obviously youre getting punished a lot

its just that they arent converting as much as they should

but still, a gc3 1s player could theoretically punish you for more mistakes than you even knew where occurring in your gameplay. so its not only about quality, if you get what im saying pretty much
