I am plat 1 in 1s and plat 1 in 2s. I have been in the gold 3 plat region for around 2 months now. my best attribute is my gamesense as I have been playing on and off since 2020, while my worst attribute is my mechanics. When I say I have bad mechs I mean my flicks are inconsistent, i cant do much more than touch the ball once in the air (i can do an air dribble off the wall but thats inconsistent too) and worst of all I can’t consistently make open nets. My normal teammate always makes fun of me for missing open nets but popping off on contested flicks. I know the obvious answer will be to practice my power shots and open nets but i usually play against liks diamonds in 1s but im only plat in 2s and I think that gives me an ego boost when i beat them and I feel like I can hang around with the diamonds. Any tips?

I am plat 1 in 1s and plat 1 in 2s. I have been in the gold 3 plat region for around 2 months now. my best attribute is my gamesense as I have been playing on and off since 2020, while my worst attribute is my mechanics. When I say I have bad mechs I mean my flicks are inconsistent, i cant do much more than touch the ball once in the air (i can do an air dribble off the wall but thats inconsistent too) and worst of all I can’t consistently make open nets. My normal teammate always makes fun of me for missing open nets but popping off on contested flicks. I know the obvious answer will be to practice my power shots and open nets but i usually play against liks diamonds in 1s but im only plat in 2s and I think that gives me an ego boost when i beat them and I feel like I can hang around with the diamonds. Any tips?
