I am champ 3 and i would recommed if you play with your duo try going into priv and practice rotation and practice boost conservation and some basic power shots ground control with flips if you still cant rank up try practicing basic aerial control without ball for an hr so you get comfortabl and anoter 1hr and a half for basic airdribbling towards the net

i was gc 2 last season but dont play as much this season

practice consistent flip resets and pop resets, some good flicks, and bumpbing the oppsing people when they are in net and tm8 goes for shot but mainly only if if the other tm8 is recovering from your side of the field happy if i helped 🙂

I played with a friend who new to the game and we were in diamond lobbies so I’ll speak on about that level. In diamond what I found it people will give the ball away weather it’s on a failed aerial, a bad shot, or they just bomb it down field. Try and work on controlling the ball. Once you are able to do that and the other team gives away possession you should be good enough to quickly score while they are out of position at least that’s what worked for me and my friend

By the sounds of it, you still have problem with ballcarry, so id focus ballcarrytraining for now!
However by nature you want to joystick thru the ball when you flick, and then a little more detailed from placement on net.

The problem you are having kinda sounds like ball control issue, the diagonal flick isn't what's hard. It's the dribbling you have to do
