It definitely just depends on how you want to go about playing, I mained kbm for awhile(on a laptop) and got around gc1-gc2 before getting a next gen console and switching to controller. It’ll take a lot more effort to get better, but your mechanical consistency will be extraordinarily consistent

As soon as your teammate isn't back its a 1s situation, just make it hard for the opponenets to do something but don't go for it if you don't see a chance and also switch it up all the time so you go instantly for some turns and then others you fakr challenge and then let thrm throw away possession

Match the speed of the ball then push it to the side wall then make small distance to the ball and then drive again

Then do it in circles around the map, fiddle a bit around with jumping earlier or later. The setup is really about the speed difference too slow = you will be in front of the ball and too fast= you just boom the ball away since there is no braking or slowing down mid-air you need to have the same speed as the ball.

Forget about air dribble completely just check your settings are good, spend time in free play and try maintain your speed
