Hi ! I am looking for advice/tip how to get better/more comfortable using mechanics ingame. I spent some hours in freeplay learning basics from to wall (how to get ball on the wall, where to bump it where i want it to go, etc) and im trying to learn how to follow it by feathering boost off the wall jump. The problem is, I can't do it in matches. I am hovering around high gold-low plat (2v2s), and every time I try to setup the ball to bump and follow it I am too slow and get challenged everytime where i lose the ball a lot. Any tips how to get faster and more comfortable doing the setups ? It honestly sometimes feels like people are chasing the ball and challenging all the time , and i cannot get into the control i need to even try the wall things

You need upwards and forwards momentum, you need to match the speed of the ball and get the reset just as the ball begins to dip, then you do a diagonal speed flip underneath the ball (it helps to angle your car underneath the ball opposite the direction you plan to speed flip if that makes sense)

Like if you speed flip using airroll right then get the reset on the left side of the ball and vice versa

Its important to match the ball’s speed though and to have forwards momentum
