I'm looking to try and work on the basic mechs i need to actually start playing the game, like basic aerials

Learn to play off your teammates style, basically just learn what you need to play complementary to a randoms style. I recommend learning dribbles, power-shots, and aerials/reverse aerials; not the best tips, but it's something

My power shots are insane sometimes, they're the one thing i managed without trying. ball control is another big one for me, i just dont quite get it yet and i dont like playing 1s enough to push through and power level my dribbles/basic flicks

Work on your quality of touches, focus more on what you’re doing with the ball and less on just reaching the ball. A lot of diamonds dive touches that they have no hope of winning, so recognize when you’re not progressing the play and get out

let me give you my tips list (c3d4 EU):

try to always be thinking about the current situation. There are a couple of important questions that you should be constantly asking yourself and aware of, in order to have a good read of the situation. let me give you some examples:

Is the ball in our half or in their half?
1.1 If it's in our half, is it on the side or in the middle? (on the side = less danger, middle = more danger)
1.2 same in their half: if it's on the side = lower chance to score, middle = higher chance to score

Is my teammate in front of me or behind me? (am I 1-st/2-nd man)

Who's in control of the ball right now? (whoever will make the first touch based on direction, speed and boost)

What's the speed of my opponents? (higher speed = dangerous, you can get beat, lower speed = opportunity, you can play it around them and create a situation to score a goal)

If I go, will I get first to the ball? (very important, you might need to predict where the opponent will send the ball, in order to beat them)
