I hate to break it to you. But there's not much to coach below plat. You just need to get used to the ball and the your car and how they interact. Golds have a tendency to rush in and make themselves awkward so just take your time and relax

Then yes, you will have to learn how to air dibble and wall drag to reach the champion and higher ranks

If I was you I’d work on picking up more small pads, flip into your 50s less, hit the ball back to your corner to keep possession, and your clears. Also try to pay attention to the intent of your opponent (for example you let me steal and get so many 100 pads because you didn’t realize I was playing for the boost)

Last thing: when you set up a flick don’t go straight at ur opponents net, try to attack at an angle so for one, you can see your opponent and if they look like they’re gonna challenge or not, and two, you can choose to either flick it behind them or in front of them (most of the time choose to flick it behind them because it makes them awkward and slows down the play) any shot you can take to make them jump and become awkward is great, because while they’re jumping you can steal their boost to keep up pressure in their corner.

So guys I just got GC2 always solo queue for the first time! Mind you I got GC1 the first time back in 2021, after that I was super close to GC2 last year ( 1mmr off) but never got it. I never really train or anything my mechanics are okay but im not at all flashy ( and still only basically use normal air roll), relying more on ground plays and game sense to win. For the past 4 years I was always on and off the game and picked it up more this time and in a couple of weeks got it. What tips could some of you that have been in GC2,GC3 for a while been to keep improving and to mantain this level ( I also feel that a lot of times I get super inconsistent). Note: What I mean by being incosistent is that for example, every time I return i get stuck in low C3 and have a terrible time there until I eventually pick it up again and go back to GC, I would say my normal rank /skill is around GC1 div 3/4 but finally did the push for GC2. I feel that I also get super frustrated while playing which can be something to work on.
