hold down air roll left/right white doing a front flip, that should automatically make you do a diagonal flip. While off the floor you should hold the joystick down while still holding air roll left/right, then after you make sure you position your car so you land on all 4 wheels cleanly which drifting can help if you are learning it but when you get the hang of it then you wont need to

Try to focus on practicing them in situations you are or near supersonic and try to pay attention where your catching it, you wanna use a little more of the outside of the hitbox then you would expect but you will get immediate clean catches, it sounds simple but it's really tricky to get down, but if u get it down it can be one of the best tools in your arsenal

well no not always, i mean if u absolutely have to then yeah sure go ahead rotate front side but if your tm8 is there your getting in the way if anything, so rotating back post allows your tm8 to go for the ball/make a defensive play. But if the opponent does get past your tm8 then you can cover the entire net because your back post, it also can lead to and open long shot or free possesion depending on how you play it. Also when your rotating back post you can take pad routes to get more boost
