awareness and decision making: you should make your move (full dive chal, drive chal, fake chal...) based on your opponent and what they are able to do next from their position

you should challenge when you see a clear mistake that allows you to score (obviously)

you should challenge when you can force the 50/50 into a safe spot

you should challenge when you can force easy shots for your tm8 to save

you shouldn't challenge if you can't control the outcome of the challenge (mostly diving into corners and diving as last man especially when u clearly beat to the ball by opponent)
