Set up is a little to far forward your pushing the ball away from you and I recommend getting at least one or two touches before you go for it

Many get used to dealing with ballchasers on their team almost every match, it's normal for them to be more hesitant when their teamm8 is close to the ball. You want to make it as easy for them as possible to know whether you're still on the play or not and the way to do it is NOT to rotate under the ball.
Since you're still low diamond, I dont believe your rotations are as good as you believe. I would suggest practicing rotating through the midfield pads and see how that changes your positioning and your teamm8s' decisions

I can probably guess your issues tho:
Learn about when to rotate backpost and when to shadow defense
Practice flicks. If you think yours are good already, they are not.
Avoid going to the corner when your teammate is already there, even if you think you have a solid clear as that might cause a double commit and you both will be stuck in there.

youll be flipping (pretty much) forward either way. Think of the axis perpendicular to ur flip as a mirror that will reflect the ball. For example if you are hitting it on your corner and you frontflip, itll go right back in that direction, but if you side flip, itll fade with you. (If that doesnt make any sense, just front flip)

I had to get a new controller too recently. I'd recommend going into casuals and solo queing, after a couple games you should level out around your rank. The players you're playing with aren't going to lose anything and neither are you if you lose.

For a better comparison, I'll be comparing 1600 to 1800.
Gc3s are overall more consistent with their mechanics but the difference isn't so big that a gc2 who is comfortable with their mechanics, would need to put a lot of time to practice. I see a lot more "flashy" plays in gc2 tho, which results in people trying stuff that is too difficult and only scoring once every ten attempts instead of going for safer but more consistent plays.
For me, what stood out was how much quicker recoveries get. I've noticed in 1600, players will struggle more with their recoveries compared to 1800. Probably because they have a more reactive attitude than an anticipation one.
Essentially, 1800s are faster due to more experience and are slightly more consistent with that they can do with the ball
