When you speed flip you are not going to go in a straight line, that's why in kickoff (which is the most important adjustment) you have to counter the way your speed flipping and then you want your speed flip to make you go straight again but the turn is in a very short of time and you can turn a bit but both the time span between the tun and the flip and the time turning are very short

Have those players coached you or just given tips? If they have not coached you and just gave tips then it's because they are giving general tips for a rank but you could be missing something else entirely and it is different for everyone.

it is all experience and basically just knowing by practicing and making the same mistake over and over but its more important to be able to recover from that mistake, you could change to fake challenging if you see you are getting beat

It all depends on how you make opportunities for yourself if you are more of a ground player you don't really need it until gc but if your not really good on the ground then you may need it earlier, it all depends on what you think you need

Hey guys, recently came back to the game after a long hiatus, and the ranks kind of shifted compared to pre-f2p. Today's high gold is more like middle silver from back in the day, and so my questions is, when looking up guides and stuff, especially those "how to get out of rank X to rank Y" as well as training packs, how recent should they be so that they're actually relevant to how today's ranks play? Cuz I'd imagine that 5 years old training packs for for example "gold goal defense" is more aimed at todays platinum and stuff

in that case, its your positioning as last man. Picture the map evenly broken into 6 cubes. You wanna try and stay a diagonally cube away from your teamm8

that would mean the best moment for me to go is once the ball gets pushed out of the cube my teammate is or was supposed to be in? or would it be best to rotate back? might depend on the situation tho

if u are 100% sure, without a shadow of a doubt that your tm8s is turning back and will have time to rotate while u can get to the ball before your opponents can, u should go. In any other case, depending on your boost you can stay close to the ball for a 50 or you can simply fake challenge and rotate behind your tm8. Thats the safest way of playing

The only time I say I’m lucky, is when I’m goofing off going for boost just straight up letting the opponent have the goal and they hit cross bar, sure it’s because they couldn’t hit their shot but I still believed everything was gonna bad for me and it didn’t in the best possible way. Luck can just be defined as a favorable or unfavorable outcome in the least expected time the moment you don’t expect to. Because on the other hand the opposite side can just say I was lucky they missed the shot or that I scored off a ridiculous fifty. This is rocket league idk

You didn't miss hear him, that is way to let your teammate know your done with the play because you can't really go back up fast again by doing that, but that is mostly when your not communicating with voice chat, high level players can tell by your movement of your nose what is hard for you, what is easy for you, when your done with your play, when the opponents have a awkward position, ect.

But I don't think any diamond will understand you doing that but it is good to keep in mind when you get higher ranked

some are mechanical the others can’t even score open nets like what

by rotating properly, making sure not to steal your tm8s boosts and making sure you dont have the risk of double comitting by staying too close to the ball when your tm8 has possession

that means the first guy went for a bump and missed and the second guy managed to miss an easy goal. They would most likely whiff the pass or shot regardless
