I’m used to changing my playstyle because I have lots of friends who are c1 and d2 etc.. the thing is when I start changing my play style like that and I get back up to c3 it makes it hard to switch back to how I need to play and then I fall back down and it’s like I’m actually a gc hardstuck c2 lol

i would suggest u play more casual for a while. In casual try to play without sound and force yourself to look around yourself more, usually if u see how everyone is positioned the decision on what u should do next if given to u. This will not only help your gamesense but also your mechanis (with decisions on what u should do). Try to look around min 20 times a game in your practise, it will be hard at first focsuing on both the looking around and the ball but it will happen automatically after some time

i feel like the main issue for los of people when they derank in lower elos is the mindset that they "have to carry", which will end up in u behaving like u are better making it way harder to get higher. Even if u think like u are better, its often easier to play the supportive role, cause the majority of players are offensive so better to keep the goal clean and tsay a bit more defensive

Yeah I agree with you and honestly I have been falling into that mindset a lot recently. Especially cus c2 is extremely toxic compared to most ranks. When I was getting into champ for the first time a couple years ago I would force myself to play extremely defensive and have the mindset of “my teammate is better than me even if he’s not” and that helped a ton for sure

But higher up confidence and the carry mindset do help a ton

the best thing at the start is to just play the game, get a feeling for it, once u reach like gold-plat u can start focusing on things. For other basics things: Try to see which camera and control settings suit u the best. U can also look at pro ones if u need inspirtation

1. always take the right path for boost (ask if you don't understand)

2. you always want to be on time to the ball but if you are not on time then don't act like you are on time (ask if you don't understand)

3. use the time you have

4. rotate behind your teammate if your done with your play

5. its always good to pressure but you do not have to hit the ball always, just being near is enough

6. taking the opponents boost is almost as good as a demo

7. know when you can actually go for the demo and when not to

8. rotate back post on defence (usually when your going behind your teammate only)

9. be less depended on big boost

10. improve fast counter catches (ask if you don't fully understand)

11. if nothing dangerous can happen then instead of looking at the play that isn't dangerous look for information on the whole lobby (ask if you want to know how)

12. attack where the defense if weak and not strong

13. if the ball is center and your on defending a shot always send the ball either to the sides or corner

14. Use as little boost as possible on movement, YOU USED A FULL BOOST TANK ON JUST GOING FORWARD. Stop hesitating on movement

Practice First you practice car control in the air, are you pc? if you are it's workshops maps with rings maps and the best are by lethamyr, if your not pc it's freeplay. When you have practiced car control in the air start doing it with the ball and if your not confident with setups do training packs and if you are confident with setups then it's freeplay

i think it is best to focus on the basic mechanics of the game, like half-flips, wave dash, and other simple things. but with air roll it just takes practice, that is how I learnt.

If your pc it's workshops maps for the best help with air rolling and when you can complete them with minimal air rolls you use more and more air rolls.

But as Mr Bob said its better to start with more simpler mechanics than starting with air roll immediately.

Lets say your on level 1 then air rolling would be level 5 so your skipping some vital parts

tbh it’s js the hours u put into it. if ur on pc id definitely recommend rings but if ur on console js do a bunch of training maps
