What's your rank? A good thumb rule is to push when you're first man, don't push too hard on their side since you don't want to overcommit thus leaving your teammate in a 2v1. You want either a good 50 or force them to flick in order to make it easier for your teammate behind you. You can do this by faking for example, and of course commiting to a challenge
You want to rotate back, shadow defense, and fake challenge when your teammate isn't ready to defend, or when they are pushed up too far, going for the ball as last man is something I see even in my c3 lobbies. Only challenge as last man when you have a clear shot at it, otherwise, let them hit it to you.

Focus on your shooting skills, it's a very important skill to be able to score from different angles, and for some reason this skill is being incredibly slept on

im plat 1 atm went on a loosing was almost plat 3 in 2v2 but i am having a hard time with 1v1 like when to go to my net when to challange and when to not that kind of sstuff

in 1's you don't want to challenge when they have control of the ball, like the ball on top of their car, they can easily flick past you. It's really beneficial to go for a 50 when they don't have much control, like for example they are just driving with the ball in front of them. Preferably you want to 50 with the side of your car since the hitbox is much bigger, but in plat only a good 50 will get the job done. You do have to be patient when defending a 1v1, most of the time your opponents in plat will mess up their flicks, however don't take it for granted and look up shadow defensing on youtube.

I'm not good at doing that, sorry. I can probably guess the mistakes you're doing, I'll list a few and hopefully it helps. Stop going for the corner boosts, the small pads help you stay on the play. If someone is going for an air dribble, if u're able to go the backboard, go. Don't dive as first man, drive towards the ball, force them to do something and turn or stay on the play if possible

Just don't overthink it. People in that rank make a lot of mistakes, you can play more passively and wait till they mess up. Abuse the backboard as people in d2-c2 don't really know how to defend it

the fact that makes it even worse is the feeling i m doing everything correctly 95% and then mess up in the 5% and its always a goal

its either the diea s last man a whiff or a failed mech

in that rank, you're not doing 95% of the things you should be doing. That type of mentality is probably what is making you tilt in the first place

You need to be ok with the fact that you're doing mistakes. Now, you can either improve to avoid said mistakes or you can refrain from doing them at all. Instead of going for the fancy air dribble, powershot the ball, maybe it'll be a goal

of course, being able to do the fancy airdribble will benefit you in the long run

And getting used to banging the ball can turn into a very bad habit. But it's ok till low gc2

alright, in that case; For the setup: Roll the ball slightly slower than your car's speed up the wall. Once the ball goes past the ads rim, hit it up with boost. Let go of the gas for a brief moment (very brief) and jump. Use just enough airroll to face the wall, don't do useless spins cuz they look fancy. From there, you adapt
