play defensively, idk just watch some of your replays from your pov and the opponents and try and see what you did wrong. a lot of the times low ranks dash through the ball when they need a soft touch and soft touch the ball when they need to hit it hard.

i have a hard time remembering i have it when practicing aerials and struggle on when to use it, especially with my touches being inconsistent

You don't need any mechs in gold bro. You need to start paying attention to the field, how much boost you have, and where the players are at too, not just the ball. If you are having a hard time in gold you need to make sure you work on how you hit the ball and that you are landing on your wheels or using powerslide, basically keeping as much momentum as you can. No amount of mechanics can save a bad player if they are making bad game choices.

Hello, I have a question: Why on earth is no C3/GC1 in my lobbies able to do a speedflip? its actually crazy. last 10 games and nobody was able to do a simple speedflip. Everyone is so focused on triple resets, musty, psychos but noone can do simple stuff like kickoffs, saves, not even fast aerials. Im always watching my mate try to score a triple reset musty pancake pogo double tap psycho and then im alone in defense because obviously nothing fancy ever works. How tf do I respond to this? If I play normally were losing it all because my defense isnt the best, so we conceed every now and then. And every attack by me that doesnt end in a goal lands us a counter attack and well if you focus on resets over saves you know whats gonna happen. Wth am I supposed to do? Passes? Well, need someone who actually passes. Stay in defense? I wont win every 2v1. Does someone have any advice?

yo how do i start getting into freestyling or in general learn more mechanics, do i have to have certain basics or hours first or is it just about grinding it out? i would appreciate some tips and experiences

i wouldnt say hours are necassary but def the basics. For instance if u cant fly there is no point learning air mechanics. Obv if u try enough u might be able to do them but it usually takes way longer this way and would be way more efficient if u learn for instance the basics like flying normally and backwards and then trying to learn how to air dribble
