For gold you need to improve your basic skills. Start making better game choices about not double committing with tm8s or making super hard touches with no control. Work on getting your shots stronger and more accurate. Try to get them down to 1 or no bounces in freeplay/practice because those soft shots get blocked by gold chasers

No problem, one thing I did when I was learning them is if you mess up the set up don't bail on the shot, try to turn it into a ground pinch or different one, or even just recontrol the car to stay closer with it when it lands so you can follow up

It might be good compared to tm8s but compared to champ1 you're a far way away. Need to speed up all your setups/shots and get better at break away offense when you block them and they cheat up

Helps when you start learning their side of the field and not giving it away but putting it areas they can't do anything and pull them out of position

I'd say hide the mmr from yourself, and really just focus on what you've been doing and reading the field as best you can. I still see gc make mistakes and pull off of the plays, just have to spot them and attack as far as I can see

Random question, is there any reason that holding down the accelerator when you're flying would be considered a bad habbit? Is there any real desire to try and remove this from muscle memory to just hold down right trigger the entire time when flying?

It's not an issue if I land backwards as I would let go and hold reverse in time for landing. Just curious if it's a thing good players try to avoid.

Honestly just let your tm8s do their thing even if you have a better shot, more boost, whatever it may be. It's better for them to get beat and you be able to take it after with control/make a save than for it to be a double commit and an open net for the other team 👍

Playing it safe is better in most situations. The higher rank you are the less you actually need mechanics tbh.
Most goals that go in in higher ranks are basic shots or open goals.
People are good at defending against mechanics now days lol

No not passive as such just keep an eye on your tm8 and look at what he's doing. You always have control over what your doing. Just let everyone else be dumb and go when you need to. Always need to have some aggression to get stuff done. More awareness is what I'm tryna say I guess

Nah, just build chemistry with someone, play games with them an you will learn each others playstyles.
I helped my friend who was C2 3 weeks ago get to GC1 and he's got his rewards for the first time.

It's so much easier when you have 2 people on the same wave length and you can pass without even saying because you know they are always in the position to get it

That's sort of up to you, 1s is the best in general for personal improvement, defense, not over committing. More 2s will just get you better at 2s and then freeplay for stuff you wanna learn and general consistency hitting the ball if you do it right
