1st thing is normal. if your tm8 loses possession or whatever, it’s your turn to do something while your tm8 rotates back, just normal rotations.

yea, a champ will use boost when they don't have to, and go all the way back to get big boost while their tm is attacking opponent's net
a gc will take mini pads, knowing that 33 boost is better than having 100 and bad positioning and waiting for a pass or to score an open net is better than going all the way back for 100 boost ( boost management, free play will help u with that )

Really have to pay attention to the little stuff like where to hit it on wall and jump timing, for me it was easier to learn air control going faster than it was trying to do slow setups. One thing I suggest is don't reset attempts if you get bad setups or lose control in the air, try to regain control and finish the shot or turn it into a goal another way like going into a recovery and dribble or hitting a ground pinch

Also finding the sweet spot that's easier for you to match ball speed helps
