Not super important but each direction has a benefit depending on the wall you are jumping from but otherwise it's just preference like the other person said. I use free roll and right, I don't really go for shots from left wall so I never binded left roll and it doesn't hold me back at all.

Yes and no.its just preference but once you get to a certain skill level directional has an advantage over free. Free roll has a ton of micro adjustments and I would say directed is slightly less

Like a rings map can be done with free roll. But directed would be easier from almost everyone I know that's does those maps

1s is super about game sense, consistency, and making the right decision/reading the play. Shadow defense is great to practice but make sure you aren't just banging it off wall or putting it in front of your own net. I see so many diamonds still clearing in front of goal instead of taking it away

Right. You'll get the hang of it. I think you said you are D1 so one thing that you will start to notice and need to improve is just keeping an eye on other ppl in the field. That will start to improve your game sense and 2s and 1v1s and you'll really start to make small decisions without thinking about it

If you know how to flick and you send it top corner with 120kph even an ssl will struggle to defnd it. Also ground play (flciks, ground to air dribbles, powershots) are vey powerful. In sll it gets harder and advanced air plays are the way to score

we are talking about 2v2 and 1v1 here btw. in 3s you dont have space for flicks
