playing 1s it only shows current skill more accurately and makes you better at 1s most does not apply to team modes in a meaningful way, i was always way higher ranked in 1s and more i played and better i got the worse i was at team mode

1s is faster because you arent depending on a teammate. All you have is yourself to depend on, so your mistakes are your mistakes cant blame them on anybody else

Hi, I am a returning rocket league player who is active on the game after 1 year and 6 months of inactivity but still played the game every once in a while. I used to be diamond 2 before I became inactive. Now when I return, I am in platinum 2. All of my mates took this break aswell and they got to the rank they used to be in perfectly fine. But for me, I have became hardstuck platinum 2 now. I know how to do tricks like the half flip, the double tap, wall dash, etc. I also collect small pads more than full boosts. In my platinum 2 lobbies (by experience), it’s a weird feeling but the lobbies feel like the diamond 2 lobbies 1 year and 6 months ago. Idk what the problem is.

If you are a 1s main then yes you really need to work on game sense. Plat and lower have no rotation half the time and it's a lot of ppl just banging the ball away. That stops happening a little bit in the diamond bracket but the toxic doesn't stop and one match they have a brain the next match they dont it's unreliable.

So you are probably a decent player if you made it to plat in 1s. So 2s rotation is easier and 3s rotation is brainrot if you don't have real tm8s. Basic 2s advice is just learning how to switch between 1st and 2nd man constantly with your tm8. But if your tm8 has no brain you have to cover their weak spots.

Ok so you need to fix how you train. Packs are good for certain skills or scenarios. But in a match it won't just fall in your lap. Like I was getting beat to the ball all the time or not controlled aerials so I worked packs on getting up and to the ball fast. Then I went to free play and kept practicing that but working on recovering my car and speed when i messed them.up. Or like if I messed up the shot id try to turn it into a different shot or control the ball after.
