the recovery is heavily affected by the last thing u do right before you touch the ball so you should always approach the ball with your car heading towards where you wanna go

when you land, you wanna use your flip through any pads on your way (preferably 2 small pads on the center line)
this way you can reach supersonic quickly on your way back if you time everything right (timing can make or break)

no you shouldn't hold powerslide the whole time because the more you hold it, the more momentum you lose.

powerslide is good when landing sideways because you can make a sharp turn to avoid hitting the post for example
or you can just jump again and diagonally half flip to correct your car.

I want you to start adding recoveries to your training,
so that every time you go for a shot or a mechanic,
you try to recover from it as efficiently as possible no matter how well you execute the mechanic.

another thing you can do is watch pro gameplay especially 1s (I watched retals lately and I can dm you some examples if you want)
there you can find how they recover from these mechanics
