try to get the rest before the balls momentum is negative (falling to the floor), hit the reset with some speed so you have space to continue an air dribble or boost and shoot, make sure your initial set up gives the ball some height and you dint brake then jump (that will waste boost unless you are going for a multy touch air dribble and a reset or sum other skilled play)

if you are going to hit the reset and shoot immediately, spam the flip, sometimes you can jump off the ball instead of flipping, get better at timing this situation and you can eliminate the spamming

or you can spam fast enough and the jump doesnt matter really lol but thats not recommended

getting the reset while the balls momentum is positive will push the ball up and relatively keep your car the same height as where it was, getting the reset with negative momentum will stop the ball a little lower than where it was and push your car a bit far down

Since you said you just started, at low ranks I don't think you even need aerials from the walls much, but for this clip specifically I'd say it's not a bad start but me personally I'd be a little more behind the ball to get a more powerful hit on it instead of directly under. Also make sure to utilise air roll for better air control when you're comfortable and more familiar with the controls of the game
