Tbh i got out of d3 by playing passive aggressive, when my teammate cuts a position I don’t get mad, i just rotate accordingly (which is usually back to net because they get dusted)

Or you can wait for next season and go all sweat in your placement matches

At plat I’d recommend practicing everything related to car control as it’s going to start to be more and more important as you rank up. You can blaze through platinum and diamond if you nail your car control. Do aerial workshop maps, like rings and obstacle/challenge ones. Also practice your recoveries from awkward positions, wave dashes, fast aerials, half flips, even speed flips if you want and perhaps consider starting to learn a directional air roll.

Without even seeing you do the air dribble - it sounds like you’re hitting the ball off the wall and continuing to drive up the wall for a bit and then jumping off which means you’ll be higher than the ball. What I want you to do is instantly jump off the wall as you hit the ball off the wall and you’ll notice you stay under it to carry it to the net 👍🏼

if u are plat there are 2 important things. in Plat the majority chases. 1. Stay in general more passive and dont go too much infront. 2. for offense u need to get better with good powershots from various angles from behind, in plat they overstay so u will have good opportunities without much risk

i understand that, but play defensive u will be fine, in plat they will not punish u much when your mates overcommit and everyone chases behind the ball, so stay behind, collect small small pads and go for powershots, u dont rlly need a counter attack, your counter attack will be a powershot from behind, if 2 chase on u for the ball they will have a hard time saving it

But just know that not every game will be super fun for you, in the sense that you may have to play much more defensively some games because tm8 wants to chase and play over-aggressive, or an inconsistent tm8 means you can't put as much faith in their touches (or lack thereof) so you have to reeeeally play their weak side virtually every time which can get frustrating

Unfortunately thats part of getting better tho

You have a good attitude which is great, you'll get it one of these days. Just approach the game with an improvement mindset. Don't get on thinking "I want to win every game" get on and think "Im going to learn/improve today". The wins will come naturally with that mindset because youre focusing on the one thing you can control which is yourself and how you play

well my advice is to just play a game and pay attention to what you do wrong and then correct your behaviour for next time to fix it, like if you get beat to a ball figure out if you shouldve gone sooner or not gone at all
