you're not gonna get good at flip resets in a short amount of time, you just needa keep grinding. tbh, if you specifically struggle with just getting the reset, i would say yes, but i am sure that everything else could use practice so i would recommend to at most just use a custom training pack

probably just playing safer when you are last back. Champ tend to be very aggresive when last back then get scored on cuz they are too far up or go for a bad challenge and get beat with no one behind

in my experience 1s defense is actually quite far from 2s defense because theres no forcing in 1s but i definitely see how it helps in 1v1 situations where im last back

this is actually really complicated because if you never challenge they just control the ball and now its a 2v1 since recoveries in champ arent as good as gc

its like a 50/50 whether ur tm8 can get back in time to do standard forcing

fake challenges are a huge part of 1s which pre much is forcing that also applies to 2s, like you fake challenge to make them throw the ball away without comitting yourself

true it is nuanced but its probably more like a 1v1 cuz one of their tm8 would challenge with your tm8 in the corner. Even if your tm8 doesnt get back they probably not gonna fully utilize a 2v1 in c1-c2 so its gonna be more like a 1v1 regardless

then looking for ways to get to the position where your car facing up and the direction you wanna go (horizontally).

these "blackout moments" can feel bad at first but they are what helps you learn the most if you pay close attention to them and fix them by "practicing" (alooot)

freeplay is good if you have bakkesmod

but if you don't, then offline matches can be a much better options because u can use "mutators" as training wheels and you can "save the replay" by putting "keyframes" each time you find a "blackout moment" so you can think about it in the replay

If you’re mechanically solid and mentally strong, 1v1 is the fastest way to GC. It’s all on you, so your climb is purely based on your ability to improve.

Many players find 2v2 the easiest to climb because it's less reliant on team coordination than 3v3 but still allows individual skill to be more effective.

"ways to get your car up and facing the direction you want to go": let's say both your car and the ball are in the air and you want to go "straight forward" to hit the ball.
to go "straight forward", your car should be mostly facing forward but a little "up" to "counter gravity" that is pulling your car "down".
so if you try to point your car "straight forward" while flying,
your car will eventually fall under the ball or at least skim the underside of the ball.
I hope this point is a bit clearer now.

it just doesn't work like that,
if it does, you will see Zen flying around holding his stick "down and to the right" to go left and "up and to the right" to move left(I think you meant right instead of left)
Zen doesn't do that.
and I don't do that too.
Zen moves his joystick all the time and doesn't wait for his car to face a specefic camera angle.
this is the most efficient way to move your car while air rolling and this is what everyone should be working towards.
now how you work towards it,
it's a totally different method and I recommend watching lostfeld's video or at least skimming through each section then doing the exercises at the end (incase you don't like "overcomplicating things")

this is true
but...
you shouldn't rely on that while learning DAR.
for example, you will be moving your car in circles when you want to go left and you will only use boost when your car is facing left.
that's so bad and so inefficient way of teaching air roll

it ruins your muscle memory because you will be tapping boost and some rhythm you are used to.
"holding boost" will make you go towards the direction you are facing and will give you "feedback" when you do the wrong input.
"feathering boost" doesn't have that same "feedback".

"while maintaining your current trajectory.":
again, in the air there's "gravity" pulling you "down".
you don't go in a straight line when you release boost.
you lose your control bit by bit.

I can agree with that and I highly agree with "Jump into freeplay, open the settings, and slow the game down until it’s manageable. Gradually increase the speed as you improve."
some ppl will like that more but for my own preference,
I will recommend this speed thing for someone that already know how to control his car but want to get more "efficient" or more "consistent".
it's like an intermediate level "imo".
still it's a rly good way to practice 🙂

If you want to get out of diamond all you’ll need is dribbles, flicks, power shots and considering the fact that you practice air dribbles a lot I assume you have good aerial car control so you should be good with aerials
