theres the one where you turn and time your jumps and theres the one where you powerslide and mash jump as fast as possible

But pogos are mostly pointless if you cant keep control of the ball throughout the whole movement

What do you mean? SSL's and Grand Champs will be able to give more advice than what a Diamond can.

i believe its a progression thing, learning a little at a time, play with someone closer to your rank but higher and you get used to that playstyle and end up progressing to that rank, try and learn from someone at a much higher rank and theres a much larger gap making learning and teaching a little more difficult. That is entirely dependent on the individual tho

I need some help since my friend does not understand the point of half flip forgets rotations started to ball hog cuts in front of me aswell and when i can hit a 50 w the opponent he comes aswell bcuz i was 0 boost while he was 100

if he does not wanna half flip,
tell him to powerslide to turn sharper.

if he forgets rotations and plays against you or whatever,
shadow him.
if you had 0 boost, you probably used too much boost for no reason.

you gotta be a bit patient and cover his mistakes better if you wanna win.

the thing is i usually go for ground plays and sometimes when the oppositions shoot im like 40-50 bost from pads and when im 0 close to the ball and can hit a 50 he comes from the side
and he can't control powerslides since when he powerslides he usually ends up turning too much

and when i shadow him and he is 0 boost or smth and the opposition is having the ball on the ground and he is close to the opponent instead of challenging i end up in a 2v1 since he goes for boost

40-50 boost is enough to make any save.

you don't wanna take a 50 towards the other opponent if your tm8 is also going.

powersliding too little is not bad,
if he can powerslide lightly 2 or 3 times,
it will be better than 1 big powerslide turn that kills his momentum or spins him out of the way.

the point of shadowing him is,
you can turn and challenge the ball at any point (at the point where he leaves the play for boost)

The best tip to learning any mechanic is go in free play and turn the speed to 50%. After u successfully do it 3 times with 50% go to 70%, then 80%, then 90 and do it at 100 after. I used this to learn air dribbling and now I can do it easily

Do a double jump at 11 o clock on your joystick, the moment u pressed jump twice you pull it back down

If you can do diagnoul flip

Then it should be easier
