I'm not sure how much I can help a Diamond, I'm only Gold. I used to be D1, but the standard has improved a ton.

I do have those diagonal power shots down though, so I can at least talk you through the technique I use; hopefully that'll give you a different perspective than a video and help you get it down.

If you're Champ 3, you can't beat Champ 3s consistently enough to rank up into GC1, so you're not good enough to be GC1 nvm SSL.

You're not alone though, most people feel that they're better than the rank they're in. I do to some extent too, at a much lower rank.

Ultimately it's just a delusion though. You don't realise what you're doing wrong and what's holding you back, otherwise you'd fix it and be GC already...

I'm also a fallen-off ex-Diamond1, a handful of seasons ago, so I'm not completely clueless.

I'm a kbm Diamond pleb and I often see people who are very good mechanically but only focus on these mechanical plays and throw games with them. If they didn't go for the hundredth musty double tap attempt that just missed again and instead made assists or just shot on goal, these people would climb much faster or not stuck

I know people who are gc and can't reset. It's not needed if that's why you are trying to learn them. Learning how to get single resets is gonna be the same as on controller so you don't really need kbm specific tutorials for it. DM me clips of you attempting to reset for more help.

Best tip for learning mechanics in general though is watching clips of other people hitting whatever you are trying to learn -> slowing it down -> breakdown the shot into smaller parts (how they turn, air steer, break, etc) -> replicate each part as closely as possible.

I learned to fly backwards so much that I can no longer fly straight so I learned to fly straight again but when I have to change between the two I never stop making mistakes it takes me a while adaptation, it's possible that if I practice a lot to change between the two I manage to no longer have problems where the brain will never be able to adapt

please don't say counter. you do that slow mf front flip shi and it be like delayed, so the opponent in plat won't be that good to read your kickoff and he will just go for it and you will block it
