@ember spear let go of boost before you hit ground and try to hit like the hard corner of your car. let go of your analog so that you dont fight the recoil when you come up, i like boosting into it and hittin it with my front corner and having my hood face me

I was very inefficient with boost and my first touches were poor which means my mechanical plays couldn’t happen
I also didn’t see passes that I should’ve seen + I made rotation a bit awkward

I finally changed my key bindings from the default after over 3 years. Definitely hard to adjust but can tell it will be better once I’m used to it. The one issue is boost and throttle. I play Xbox, and am used to holding RT (throttle) all the time when wanting to move, and then pressing B also when wanting to boost. It was nice because when boost runs out you’re still moving forward.

Now it’s on RB, which is supposedly better. My problem is I can’t hold down throttle and hit boost at the same time anymore. I have to either switch back and forth with one finger, which often causes me to not move for a sec after boost runs out since I’m used to holding it down all the time - OR - I use my middle finger exclusively for RT, and index for RB.

Using two fingers for RB/RT feels really dumb and is probably wrong, but at the moment it’s better than not moving for a sec when I want to. I’m assuming it just takes time to get used to switching, but for people who are set up this way, what do you do?

My experience with solo queuing, up until champ 1 at least, is that parties are well oiled, perfectly able to adapt to each other and their opponents, while the solo'ers are scrambling. I try to be in the right position but then someone else is there too, or I try to challenge an opponent and both my teammates are just consistently out of position and are rotating really weirdly, which makes it hard to adapt to them every single match, well into the 3 minute mark. Solo queuing is definitely a disadvantage, up until a certain rank at least (champ 2/3 in my experience now) where you get actual good solo'ers who know what they're doing

Diamond is such a weird rank, when i hit champs i acctually play better. diamond players are just not predictable, no skill, just shooting and hoping for the best. if u wanna rank up to champ, u have to find a good teammate you can play with
