play and get used to it, get yourself comfortable binds

practice shooting, shooting accuracy, car control, and recoveries for shooting I recommend using the map ground shots (6EB1-79B2-33B8-681C) for car control good luck I really don't know how to explain and for recoveries learn half flips and wave dashes and get proficient at them, finally if your learning any sort of mech learn not only how to use them but when to use them as well. also for the map ground shots when your first learning shooting simply aim to get it into the net then learn to get it into the net with power once good at this split the goal into 4 quadrants in your head top left top right bottom left bottom right and before each shot call which one you are aiming for this will help you to aim in general areas. another good map is back board therapy (D7F8-FD53-98D1-DAFE) then there a map for saves (5CB2-6D82-1B54-47B7) to be honest these saves are easy so if you can save them then you don't need the pack but if you cant that's also a good place to start. if you are learning to dribble the ball i would recommend going into the games aerial training built in and select all-star difficulty then practice catching the ball while you are still on the ground and turning it into a dribble as you get more proficient with this you can start to add flicks into it as well and once you can do that well enough start to aim your flicks also learn to speed flip there are plenty of guides watch one and practice using this map (A503-264C-A7EB-D282) remember to wait about a second after each reset before going other wise making it to the ball is impossible as you spawn slightly in the air.

1. Dribble in a way that your opponent is not hidden behind the ball (e.g. dont dribble straight towards their goal but towards the posts; you want to do this anyways in many cases for more variable options to finish)
2. Audio: listen to people boosting and jumping.
3. Gamesense: When starting the dribble, look at the gamestate and assess how likely it is for an opponent to challenge early etc.

I'm never driblling for long. I've been burned so many times because I can't see what's going on. When I dribble, I try to get the ball just a bit in the air as quick as possible, just so I can see what options I have. When I get the ball in the air, I'm not using any boost which works wonders for someone who is trying to do an aerial boosting like a psycho. Usually it is the opponent, so when they blow past, I can resume a ground dribble or setup for a shot, taking my time.

u dont need to 2v1 and u dont need to carry in plat, everyone chases, so if u try to "carry" u will just end up chasing aswell, so try and stay back and play more passive, for offense focus on powershots on target out of multiple positions, for defense dont chase and simple arials for saves, once u can do that u will easily get out of plat, mates are a factor u cant change in solo q so u can decide if u want to blame them for not getting higher and getting hardstuck or trying to see how u can work around that and how to use those mates to your advantage

in general take your time with the set up at first. 1. try to get already on the ground in a good line so u dont go crazy left right before touching the ball. 2. try to get the ball as high as possible without it touching the ceiling. 3. u want to toch the ball when it has that up-movement and above the corner, otherwise the ball either goes to straight up the wall or too far away. 4. try to get in a similar speed as the ball. 5. At first, AS SOON as u touch the ball jump, rlly as soon as u touch it. When u focus on all these steps u should be already be very close to the ball after the set up. You probably js need more practice. I spent 2 hours in freeplay practicing airdribbles and i can do them consistently. I'm working on resets now.

Play casual matches more while learning mechanics, and practice them in the matches to get consistent against opponents
