advice for plat get better at defending and mastering stuff you learned in gold. Honestly stop trying to aerial for every ball, use your judgement to decide if you should aerial or not. Learn backpost rotations and hitting the ball off backboard. Should be said that dont go for air dribbles or ceiling shots idc if you are consistent with them. Playing smart and reading the play will allow you to rank up

i assume you are using a binded left airoll button for ur speed flip which means ur holding it too long (as ur question suggest) practice letting go by essentially speed flip and aim at something, like landing on a boost pad, or use the pass to self button while driving slow then speed flip and aim the ball, if the issue is ur brain for some reason is just keeping ur finger on air roll left then just sit in free play and practice flipping and letting go at the correct time, once that is down then go for aiming ur speed flip

if ur using free roll then well, basically same process but u need to figure out where to move ur stick to continue the motion of the flip and aim ur car

theres a couple of finger exercises that are questionable in their validity but claim to help with brain keeping a button pressed whenever you actually wanted to let go
