dont commit when your teammates commit, 40 boost or so is enough to make a play u dont need to go for the boost cause u have enough, learn half flips wavedashes and later speedflips, pay attention to where your teammates are

you wont need any advanced aerials in plat or diamond, groundplay is much easier and better to learn first

you can watch some tutorials on youtube on dribbling and stuff and then just go into freeplay and practice for awhile

In plat they insta dive anything and you will need time to set up a ground dribble and will get dunked

If you ground dribble dont carry it on your car just do bounce dribbles or sum

And oh ye to answer the original question, to rank up in C1 start controlling the ball. A boom is a pass to the opponent. Hit it into open space and not too hard, in a way that you can be the first to follow it up. Keep control. Keep possession. And in that rank they will have 99% of regular basic shots on goal and you lose possession aswell, so avoid doing that and just hit it anywhere else that could be useful for you, make it awkward for the opponents, or to keep possession

U need to position in a way where u are ready for the best and worst outcome of your team mates play, that way u have the best chance of not getting scored on. If u do that then u basically only need to score once to win ur match, i know its easier said then done but thats how i ranked up the fastest
