my plat/diamond friends have had success when i recommended the training pack Uncomfortable Saves. in particular the first shot in the pack. Its a really common situation, and forces you to work on multiple things. Getting into the air quick for the touch, using air roll to put the ball off into the desired corner, and recovering by landing on the backboard, putting yourself in position to immediately be able to continue following the ball. Getting properly consistent at that save should help develop some skills that will just apply everywhere in your game, not just defense.

bonus points if you turn on some variation with bakkesmod so its not the exact same trajectory every attempt

solo 3's is just a lot of reading the situation and what your teammates play like.. and mentally getting through the games where they tilt and stop playing, dont let it make you go into your next game tilted. And no matter how much your tammate spams Take the Shot! as he "passes" it at 10kph across the backboard, dont commit into it if you know its a bad pass. Focus on your own game, and minimizing your own mistakes, and making impact when you get an opportunity and you'll naturally climb up, even if slowly.

right, at least youre not unlearning 1-2000+ hrs of muscle memory. Most videos will tell you to use a pro players binds. most impactful ones are probably Boost on RB(R1), air roll/drift on LB(L1), DAR of choice on X(square). but whatever you find most comfortable, go for. You just need to stick with it for a few days or a couple weeks. Its gonna feel like your first hour playing RL again, mechanically. You'll just have the slightly better gamesense than you did 200 hours ago to help keep you up.

Just use whatever feels comfortable to you. Drufinho was top 8 at the last winter major, top 8 worlds, and SAM mvp
