Can someone give me tips in gold ive been stuck in gold for like 160 hours i got to plat then dropped im not sure if its my teammates or me
Gold: Get down the basics of the game such as rotations, positioning, power clears, decent saving, shooting, (not passing), reads, and keeping control of the ball. Once you have a good grasp on all of these its a matter of time before you get to plat.
Try 2 things, 1. dont chase, 2. try getting better with powershots on target out of multiple positions, that alone should get u higher
ok thanks!
Do u guys know any training packs i can use to help me get better with those?
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RZebwwQHvXgPm_TodWLOHJbBihqXAYdfIZDEMG87Veo/edit?usp=sharing
lf someone to watch me play a game or two and tell me what i do wrong
Hey all! im working on powershots and accuracy. im having a hard time with the timing, and angles of some shots. im hoping i can get a champ/GC player to do me a favor? could i get someone to go through 1 or preferably all 3 of these training packs record and upload them so i can watch and compare?

How can i do aerials shots on keyboard?
yo can a gc or so watch me play 1 game and tell me what im doing wrong?
im kbm player and u just gotta do it the same way as a controller player would. maybe serach up some vids on YT were a kbm player showes it
same procedure tho 🙂
lf someone to watch me play a game or two and tell me what i do wrong
Anyone?
what do you mean?
can anyone coach me in 1s or 2s?
what rank do you play at, are you on pc, and which one do you want help with? 1s or 2s?
im c1 in 2s and d2 in 1s, im on pc, and ill take help with whatever
.
dm me, i wouldnt mind helping you
Guys
Can any keyboard players give me some tips to get better?
You don't need them in silver
Get used to hit the ball on the ground more consistently and with more power
Aerials aren't necessary until Plat 1 or Gold 3 (atleast from when I last played there)
What about shot power or dribbling
I suck at both
Lol I am very bad at them
On discord I meant
Can't I invite you to a party
My mic only for pcs and ps
:/
??
I have been hardstuck diamond for 2 years if anybody can coach me for free that would be nice. Thanks!
I accidentally made it into d2 in tourneys and I’m barely d1 help pls
best way to make my teammate start trusting my centers and 50s?
find a teammate that u can trust
i need help hitting gc i played in c3 div 4 last night and played perfectly but i play in c2 and won lose win lose win lose
try not to chase and get better with powershots on target out of multiple positions
see it as a chance to play against better people and go for the challenge, nothing to loose in tournys anway
ik its a pain but this is usually how grinding works
Can anyone in gc possibly play a casual with me or something and tell me what's up, I feel like my challenge timings are bad aswell as when and where to rotate. I'm diamond
anyone know whats the best controller i can get thats under $25? im trynna switch from kbm to controller.
Don't bother getting a cheap controller
what would be good value then
around how much
Unfortunately like $50+
Don't recommend off brand
You can if you want, but they usually have issues early on
whats a reliable brand
maybe a used xbox or ps4 would be at 25
The official brands of Xbox or sony
You could try getting a used controller just to test
ds4 is bad
But if you do end up liking it, get a new one
too small
alr ty
i heard that ps4 controllers are best tho
yeah wait for december deals if anything and ps4 you can add attachment if needed xbox is less convenient for this but more ergonomique
yea
i have one on my table right now but i am using a switch pro controller with stick drif lol
yeah they both work fine now for supports
Attachments is another thing that some considers
you can download ds4windows if you decide to get a ps4 controller
Some people should just stop giving tips
🥹
what do I do if im plat (the worst rank ever) and my opponents are ballchasing, i hate it so much. I played vs more ranked players and i got demolished, atleast I liked it since they dont play that bad as plats.
Main question: how to play vs ballchasers
Being patient
They are gonna make mistakes, run outta boost, etc.
thanks i`ll try
Ballchase better. If ur closer/quicker to the ball, get it around then. If you aren't, fake to make them throw it away
thanks i`ll try it too
Ero, can you check your dms? I found a controller that seems good but idrk

Is anyone on kbm that’s really good help me get better and please dm me if you can
I dont even understand man I was champ3 last season now no matter how much I grind im stuck at freaking d3 whats goin on why my skill just got worse
I'm actually so confused
same c1 stuck
Take a break
im peak 1182 mmr but can’t get out of low d1 in 2s what do i do
and over the course of this time being hardstuck i’ve improved and only loss more mmr
Lol DM if you wanna talk about it
how do i know that my flip reset connected?
Can anyone help me do Musty flicks
Try flipping
But after you do them a lot, you get a feel for it
Hmm
im ssl if anyone looking for a coach
i just need help with flip resets
can anyone help me to get diamond?
why am i so ass at 1s
because 1s is the sweatiest gamemode known to man
It just depends on what kind of player you are, and if you play it alot or not.
if you're 1s rank is lower than your other ranks, you are just normal
the average d3-c1 in 1s is about gc1 in 2s
im pretty sure they mean they are gc in other modes
Ya I got a few friends that are gc2/3 in 2s and there like d2/3 in 1s
Ya that was the point...
if someone is gc in a normal ranked mode i would consider them a gc
1s just has messed up distribution
??
bro is defending 1s ranks like crazy
diamond being top 3% of whatever is pretty fucked imo
season resets set your 2s mmr so low but not ur 1s as much
i think its cause ur 1s mmr is literally just much lower
Like you drop 1 div in 1s but 1 rank in 2s
Ya that's what I'm getting at. 1s distribution is different from 2s
Each div in 1s is like 10mmr too
no hes ssl
people like to lie about ranks here
lf someone to watch me play a game and tell what i do wrong in that senario and what i could of done better.
coaching anyone c1 and under
yo im down lol
dm me
why is solo q so shit but when you’re in a team it’s sweaty asf
Solo queue is fine, duo queue is sweaty when your in a balanced game
Anyone cool to coach a washed player? C1 div 2 in 3s and d3 div 4 in 2s.
what rank are you
yo im looking for a coach
looking for someone to help me with ball control and air roll shots im gold to plat range
ok now code a bubble sort in python
imagine thinking i remember a single sorting algorithm
what rank and mode?
I trust my teammates, it's the first advice i got
good for you
Hey y'all
Hopped back in to the game after a little break.
Ball control, dribbling and defending are some of my weakness I can't figure out
Any basic tips?
looking to coach someone NA for 1 week to see how high i can help them get. dm me if you are NA, and below d1
this project starts tomorrow around 1:00 EST
dm me ur rank and epic if u want in
only a select few will be participating
and it is COMPLETELY FREE
@sterile kettle coach me
in which gamemode are mechanics most important?
freestyle 1v1
mechanics are important in all modes
right haha, people act like mechanics mean something in ranked.... not true until way high ssl
yea people obsess over mechanics and make basic decision mistakes
"i can double flip reset... why i stuck in c1?"
watch your replays, find something you "fucked up" or made a poor choice on and go into freeplay and train it. No way to get better without discecting your game and training to improve

nah mechanics are definitely important to a certain extent in GC, unless you are flakes with pro gamesense you aren't going to hit SSL without proper mechanics
lf coaching, washed c1 currently in high d1
I'm curious how I'm supposed to be able to do anything when everyone but me ball chases everything. I feel like the second I see an opening one of my teammates double commits off the rip
mechanics only, no. You're wrong
..... you have it completely backwards but sure you do that and see how it works out
Any tips on ground carry to air dribblei can't seem get under ball good
wdym I got it backwards, it is quite difficult to get past GC1 without mechanics beyond like ground dribbles and aerials. What sort of things did you learn when pushing for GC2+, only being able to like bounce dribble and like 45 flick severely limits attacking options from my experience but ig I might be mistaken
have the ball just in front of the center of your car, and then perform a double jump. If you want to hold the ball on the nose of your car do it quickly or if you want to create seperation then delay the second jump slightly. Then tilt the nose of the car backwards and begin boosting near-vertically (will be like a 70-80 degree angle), and it should land on the nose of your car nicely
you're logic is backwards and you can't deny it. You don't earn a very high rank because of mechanics. You gain the ability to do mechanics because you acheived a high rank.
So much misinformation in Rocket League and it's bc you people just make up stories to make yourselves feel better
You don't gain mechanics by being a high rank though? Mechanics is developed through experience and training. Your rank is like 80% gamesense 20% mechanics for the most part, but it becomes very difficult to train gamesense after a certain point imo. Developing some good aerial car control and perhaps learning to air dribble seems easier to me but being fully honest perhaps I am mistaken, I don't know how to air dribble yet off the wall. If it is okay, could you provide me some help on how you developed GC2+ gamesense? I'm honestly getting hardstuck a bit now and I thought mechanics might be worth learning now but if you didn't find them worth learning for SSL then ig I might as well stick to gamesense
I know it to be true, over 19000 RL games and 4000 hours plus discussions with literal professionals you don't get good or rank up because of mechanics. Period. I've played 19000 matches and never once said "man i only lost because that guy had mechanics". Never has that happened. You don't rely on mechanics whatsoever to grow as a player or improve. You delve way to deep into one teeny part of the game. Mechanics don't matter really. Never have....... until you reach a certain height of competition.
I promise you anyone below top 100 players needs to seriously focus on what you call gamesense over mechanics. I know this to be true from second hand experience.
Rocket is mental more than anything and you training triple flip resets won't make you a better player
I mean yeah, I'll take your word for it that mechanics aren't particularly important, I'm significantly lower than you in rank. But anyways, could you help with the second part of the question? What areas of your gamesense did you work on to hit GC2/GC3/SSL, and how did you train that? Any help would be appreciated ❤️
I spent hours and hours reviewing my gameplay and watching myself make mistakes over a 4000 hour time period. I saw my mistakes. I learned from them. It took time but I worked hard to get where I am today, and guess what, I still suck
it's because this game is an insane mental grind and mostly falls down to being present minded and smart, not mechanical
oh yeah most definitely, I was just thinking about like learning air dribbles from the wall not like triple resets haha
if you truly want help with being more aware and having better game sense then I don't mind helping you, but it's going to start with you reviewing your replays (or we can together) and seriously focusing on fundamentals. Not mecahanics
yeah sure homie thats fine, I'm happy to learn whatever helped you get through GC haha. I'm a very ground based player anyway, I'm a 1s main.
should I just DM a replay file?
wait hold up homie ur c2 wtf are u talking about
no wonder u were dodging my questions about how u hit ssl so hard 💀
Not sure where you're getting your info but don't make assumptions about other people.
u posted in LFG saying ur looking for a C2D1 tm8 💀
ur either full on smurfing or not ssl idk what else to say homie
He literally said he doesn't know how to air dribble off the wall
That's some serious skill issue
Nobody is saying you have to triple reset or do insane air plays
Although i never played an ssl that can't do some pretty good shots/mechanics.
You realise reading the ball early and controlling it in the air is still mechanics right?
idk how he expected me to hit gc2 without a basic airdribble 😭
let alone high ssl 💀
That's completely false
its probably not helping tbh but do whatever is fun for you ofc, its a game after all
Play less risky, dont overcommit, try rotating more around the small pads, try to look at yourself more then teammates
I wouldn't call that "mechanics" though. From my pov when someone says "I'm mechanical and is x rank" i expect them to have insane car/ball control for that rank and can actually use them efficiently to score or make a play
So air dribbles off the wall aren't really "mechanics" for gc1/2
It's the bare minimum. Nobody is gonna see someone do an air dribble in 1600+ and say oh wow this guy is mechanical
If u solo q and u are „smurfing“ u should easy get higher, so go for it if it is like that
oh yeah most definitely, but im confused how that relates to what I was saying. I just wanna learn like mechanics in general but idk if its a bad idea haha
It isn't
I feel like air dribbles are overrated in gc+ anway, just for defensive purposes, dribbling of backboard etc can be nice but on offense its not very useful
never bothered to give freeplay a try but people keep suggesting it so i might give it a try
👍
Short term yes, but u improve way more in solo q, so try that, helps in long term
what offensive mechanics should i be learning instead?
You have to know how to air dribble. Air dribbling opens up many options and mechanics to you. Mainly single resets or even a good 50 in the air near their net
Air dribbles are used everywhere in high rated lobbies. Not sure what he's talking about
The thing is this always depends where the opponent is, if u have a bit more time i would recommend flip resets or ceiling shots cause u have that extra flip u can use when someone challenges, if someone chases to u for instance immediately jumping then the tm8 is prob in goal or some, then i would boom the ball above the net and ho for a double tap
As i said, in general yes, but not for offensive purposes where u are a threat or some to the opponents
The idea of them having to send one defender to you in the air and he might fail to get to you and be out of the play is incredibly dangerous
oh so I should like learn ceiling shots, air dribbles and flip resets? Would I be like bottlenecking my skill if I don't learn them?
Yeah, single resets are important, more than 1 is kind of an overkill and would be barely used
Idk if i should post in support or someone can help me here. Recently got my pc. Everytime i start a game i ping at 500 for like 30 seconds. Ive tried everything google has to offer anyone else deal with this?
Usually in higher lobbys air dribbles are easy to defend from 1 player alone, things like ceiling shots or flip resets work good as u can completely take out 1 Person with that flick
is there any other major skills I should learn to get out of GC1?
Yh do that, can also recommend double taps, as if someone chases it can be effective booming it above the goal while being able to follow up
Mech wise? Or rotating etc wise?
preferably both if thats okay
Recoveries/reads etc. Honestly it's not just a "do one thing and you are out of it" those mechanics are pretty much useless if you have no brain
oh yeah ofc but yeah im pretty sure my gamesense is good enough to get out of GC1 like im GC1 in 1s too but I just struggle to score on several defenders tbh, which im guessing is because I dont know how to attack besides dribbling
rn about 1450 after reset was like 1540 before
im aiming for gc2 end of season not like rn haha
it would help to learn some aerial mechanics
yeah its probably worth learning from what others are saying
damn escredit is cooking up a four course meal with that response 😭
although they aren't something that you would use very often, they are still quite useful when the time comes
broo 😭
he def knows what hes talking about tho tbf
alright yeah fair enough
you say you have trouble getting past multiple defenders, correct?
If u get the basics of most mechs u are good to go, gameplay wise there is a lot, one crucial thing is leaving your mate alone, this can be through overcomitting, messing up in offense, etc. Cause usually in higher elo 1 will bump and the other one will score without leaving your mate much chance, dont overcomit in corners, just jump 1 time there and focus more on the landing, rotate more around the smaller pads, in general looking around is key, cause it makes your decision making way easier, if u see your mate going back u challange, if u see him facing forward u rotate, same with opponents, the more u can quickly look the easy decisions get, u prob do that but look at yourself and see what u can do to win games dont blame mates, this way u can win some of those game, playing unpredictable can also be good but u need to be careful with that cause your tm8 is effected too, many other things aswell @coarse scroll
Not that speedy writing on my phone lol
oh wow tysm this is like exactly what i needed haha
no worries lmao this is incredibly helpful ❤️
yeah thats correct
We can also hop in a replay at one point, not now, and i can have a look at individual stuff
if done properly, bounce dribbles can be more unstoppable than an air dribble bump
but that would take a fair amount of ground control to get that good at it
I'm away rn but would it be possible for me to send a replay through in the future for analysis?
Sure, send 1-2 and lets hop in a call when we both find the time
but i would say that it's certainly easier to learn when compared to stuff like resets and has more uses in a real match
It looked like you were complaining with "where do i find a good tm8"
No stress dw
if you are struggling to get out of a rank while solo queueing over a significant amount of games then its not ur tm8s
or just watch lethamyr's road to ssl series
his game sense applications are insane
i mean i think my aerial car control is okay like I can do like ice rings with single digit deaths every time so i dont think its bad or anything, i just havent dedicated any time to learning a particular mechanic besides flicks
how hard are resets?
what would a 45 flick be on that scale for reference 😅
depends. what's the hardest aerial mechanic you would say that you could do consistently?
Did this increase after f2p update?
double taps probably?
One reset is very easy
then it would take a decent amount of practice to get it consistently enough to use it in a match. around 40 hours or so
Don't overthink it you probably have the control to do it you just didn't actually try to learn it
^
oh srsly
ah okay yeah idk why i never bothered to try resets then i can like breezi just fine in-game
Yh the mech in general is easy but to set it up and use it correctly in game is hard
If anyone here wants tips on basic mechanics i can come to a private match with you and help just be eu or close and have a mic
All about the set up, once u can do the reset u can do it everytime, not with the breezi especially in game
Biggest mistake people do is boost at the wrong times
U fly more aggressively forward the ball and turn at the end so u kinda fly into the ball, with air dribble u take your time and try get under the ball, if u try getting the reset while letting the ball fly on your car its waay harder
resets take way more practice than a breezi
Mech wise, not using it in game wise i would say
You are d3 and can consistently air dribble?
Facts i hate when you tryna give advice and the plat 3 says they can flip reset consistantly
Last season c1 is like d1 this season
and it depends on your pre existing aerial car control
D3 and c2 are the same rank
c1d4 = c1d1 this season after reset
Fly dieectly to the ball and turn at the end, if u can fly u should be able to set it up yourself
No lol
The opponents and skill level is the same
You just not good enough to win in d3
Bro’s still arguing lol
i asked appjack the same question on stream once. the only thing he said was "unless you've practiced resets for a 100 hours, the only answer to your question would be practice."
Stop with the excuses man
wait i just tried to reset on my school laptop rn and its way easier than I thought I wasted so much time 😭
😂
just gotta be confident in your skills
It doesn’t matter where you are in the d3-c2 range its the same skill level
🤓 ☝🏼 /j
ayo??
1’s is a whole different gamemode
Stop going for your consistent air dribble because chances are you aren't consistent and probably dribbling to their corner wasting boost and isolating yourself from the play
Facts
Until you can push the ball sideways in the air and control exactly where its going dont go for it in game
Then you just dont control enough to air dribble
i mean im def not most qualified person to speak here but like i dont think u need air dribbles to get out of diamond
Not having the proper setup in diamond is an indicator that you aren't ready yet
Also you dont need a ”proper setup” if you know what to do with the ball
How about you learn shooting, dribbling and flicking instead?
You dont need a perfect 45° wall roll to air dribble
Also rotsting
A trick that works so well in comp is to pretend you going off wall and when they rush thowards the wall to block just dribble it middle
💀
Shiro you can get ssl with only shooting rotation flicks and dribble
I dont think you’re that consistand in d3
When you cant do anything to the ball gtfo
Or if your teammate can take the ball gtfo
TRUE! after s9 i made the decision to change to air roll left from only normal air roll and as i expected i went down to 1600-1700 to only peak 1800 since i switched and all of it because i was trying to setup air plays way too often. I finally made up my mind to go back to normal only after realising it's probably too late for me to switch
Its impossible to coach this dude
Listen to us dude
Stop saying you can do shit you clearly cant do
I was surprised how air plays are way easier on air roll left and started to only do these type of plays and forgetting to actually play the game. Not sure why i couldn't go back to my normal playstyle with extra mechanics but all i concluded is i was trying to execute mechanics that had less chances of working just because i felt like i was being "mechy"
this is basically "how do i rank up but im doing everything right btw" 😭
Exactly
Literally just admit you dont know how to do the stuff we tell you
There’s a reason you’re in diamond
Long story short, be more aware of your tm8s and use them don't try to solo just because you think you are better. And learn the very basic mechanics like shooting recoveries flicks dribbles
Stop being cocky
You aren't that special in your rank
i dont think a 1v1 will indicate whats wrong with ur 2s gameplay a replay would probably help more
🤦
Also pass the ball people in casual dont understand how to backpass or otherwise pass when they cant do much anymore
This guy is trolling
”should i learn quad flip reset breezis in silver”
stop learning random mechanics learn to rotate first pleaseee
The reason we’re mean is because otherwise you just wont listen lmao
Focuse on the ”gold” stuff
Danny what rank are you
do u want us to tell you to go to school or something 💀
ik im just messing around with u
get some A+ grades fr
college degree > ssl rank
true a college degree doesnt let u get cool rokt leeg clips
nooo u gotta get those grades up
u dont wanna work in maccas forever smh
fair enough lmao
anyone know what mechanics I should be working on I'm silver 1 xbox
When should I start working on them
that's far away
I don't want ur help anymore g u was pretending to be SSL
I mean sure
what did he say
?
yeah he blocked me and told me to go f myself 💀
idk why he got so mad about it I don't think I was rude about it just pointed out that he wasnt SSL 😭
idrc hopefully he's alright I didn't mean to upset him ofc regardless
can people see your messages on discord if they blocked u?
@lilac whale if u still there homie mb
😭
nvm I'm not sorry anymore wtf are u writing
come on man I'm not being unreasonable I just mentioned that you were lying. I literally offered an apology regardless and you're still being unreasonable. Grow up, seriously.
haha 🤣
How to hit high SSL from a C2 with 4k hours 💀
💀💀
nah this message was so embarrassing like how did he think people gonna believe he's SSL looking for a C2 teammate 💀
wait Danny ur an actual coach right
how do u join games in looking to play?
message the user
it's fine honestly it's better than nothing
I'm pretty new to this rank so you'll be more familiar with it regardless
ty ^^
ty homie ♥️
haha no worries it definitely helps give me a rough idea of what I should work on
gl to ur rank up grind too ofc
haha yeah I'm a solo queuer too, I kinda like having different teammates though cause it makes each game feel fresh (or at least to me ig)
ik it's kinda a random question but did u like the S11 2s rank adjustment or nah
oh damn u got scammed then 😭
yikess
yeah it was a mess at first especially cause they didnt say anything so i thought i just fell off haha
it kinda sucked but i feel like it was probably fair cause GC in 2s was kinda getting a bit easy
it felt weird though seeing my old GC replays and then being in like high C2 while playing better initially 😭
how long did it take u to climb back to ur original rank
wait which season was ur peak then?
oh wow
when did u start playing RL then?
oh wow yeah
were u gc in any legacy seasons?
was the game like quite different before f2p?
please tell me about it haha
yeah theres a weird obsession with mechs now at lower ranks it seems like
i always see people in like streamers chats saying "im gold and can flip reset is that good"
FR like there's nobody going for the ball like just wait for it to come down 😭
LMAO thats actually a great analogy im stealing that haha
hahaha
do u play irl football much?
power slide or no powerslide on resets?
Can some1 coach me today im plat 2 Europe
asking cause sometimes i find that if i dont use powerslide i get knocked back off the ball a bit too much
position?
im talking about multiple resets, not the first one
💀💀💀
damn
sorry for trying to have some fun with mechs ig LMAO
don't look down on ppl just cause it's not your thing maybe
just a thought
ah the fabled willful ignorance hat
yo
why does it feel like my team mates are bots in 2s they dont boost they dont do nothing they play like npcs
😭
hi does someone have tips for me to get out of plat
ok but an actual mode (1s 2s or 3s)
i hate having to be smart and mechanics are fun
hi does someone have tips for me to get out of plat
be smart
ive found the best way to not drop down to p3 again for me is to get soft touches when they send the ball hurling towards the corner or its coming down like an airstrike
then you can start dribbling it (ground too) to go for a shot or a 50
np
just make sure you dont give the ball the the enemy for free, basically what i said and my last tip
How am i doing that in the looking for group channel
thanks a lot
bros a genius
bro is einstein stuck in diamond fr
Why do i get such bad teammates in 2s
you are making other mistakes too if you are at the same rank as them
nope
i mean if you want to get all technical, when a game is created there are 4 players (you and three others). The players will be assigned so that there will be a team of you and 1 other, and 2 on the other team. If a bad player is in the lobby, and you aren't the bad player, then there is twice the chance they are an opponent rather than a teammate. Consequenctly, over any meaningful amount of games you should rank up, unless you are also the bad teammate in 1 out of 4 games
when i play 1s i play much better and i win so there is no way im the problem
1s is completely different from 2s. I'm GC1 in both 1s and 2s, which is top ~0.1% in 1s vs top 1% in 2s. But that doesn't make me better than my teammates at all. You might be more mechanically skilled or better at defending, but skill goes beyond that. Good positioning, rotations and teamplay are important skills which arent present in 1s
i guarantee you its the teammates man
they just dont know how to play
and because of it im lower than i should be in 2s
i mean yeah you can blame teammates over a small timeframe, sometimes u just get bad teammates. But if you are stuck in a rank for like a month then it isn't just teammates. You are at fault too
surest sign of any player being delusional in any multiplayer game is them saying they make absolutely no mistakes. Ask a pro in any game for what they did wrong in a game and 9 out of 10 times they'll have multiple things to point out.
You can't control teammates you can control yourself, focus on that or stay stuck, that simple tbh
Short term you can just have the worst player on your team a few times in a row sure, it happens. Play more and it'll be on the other team, it balances out.
im just disappointed to be in a rank which is worse than my skill
solo queue is killing my soul basically
looking to coach someone NA for 1 week to see how high i can help them get. dm me if you are NA, and below d1
this project starts today around 1:00 EST
dm me ur rank and epic if u want in
only a select few will be participating
and it is COMPLETELY FREE
opps xD
i didnt drop i just finished my 10 games right now and if u were c2 that doesnt mean u have to get c2 in just 10 games
if ur ssl
u dont get ssl
ur prob gonna get gc2
and grind until ssl
and ive been gc before but ive quit rl long time ago and now im back at it
but now new gens are taking over rocket league 💀
???
i aint its just the truth
u said u was plat right?
and im more like a mechanic guy
i dont really stress about rl
Why when I hold a directional air roll such as right does my car gravitate to that side, instead of going straight while spinning it starts slowly moving to the side im air rolling
depends if ur air rolling or tornade spinning
im just normal air rolling
wym
not rlly u will be way down with the mmr to get c2 again
maybe u can get c1
but c2 nah
You only lose ~120MMR in C2 just win like all 10 placements smh
Can anyone help me with directional air roll
How do I control where my car is going when I tornado spin cuz im holding the joystick to the side
what div were u last season
1
u should be around 1102 MMR after reset
if u below that u have like fell off slightly if that makes sense
which is c1d2
wait mb it's actually 1093/c1d1
im 1020
1020 = 1120 (C1D2) end of S11 so ur like a bit below where u were then
depends on where you use them
they can be a little over used but for things like coming off the wall there good
if you jump then wave dash off the wall they do
also you can wave dash onto the wall
but if your wave dashing mid field you might as well just flip
C2 in 1s is equivalent of gc2 in 2s
yeah that's what I thought
so if my teammate is a bit slow, how do I compensate for every 50 he will lose and whiff?
tell me when uready
You cant really 2v1 games too many times so if it bothers you too much then dont soloqueue
not every time, just the ones where my teammtae seems a bit out of rank
Remind yourself to play based on what you expect them to actually do, not what you want them to do or what they should do
Sometimes it does happen but you can still rank up by winning other games if your tm8s throw too hard for you to win those games
And don't stop solo queuing lmao that's not a solution
not like throwing, more like, they are just not ready for that rank
If every random teammate "throws" and they get mad every time they should just find a teammate who they know is actually good for them
wqhere are you getting all of this?
That's not how the game works
you say that like its easy
No
Im just saying that if every random teammate "makes you lose" then you should not soloqueue, not specifically your case
ok let's redo the question
so if my teammate is a bit slow, how do I compensate for every 50 he will lose and whiff?
adapt to their playstyle, if not possible you will lose that game
alright, this is as helpful as "just get rich". How?
Less risky, less commitment, try to force a low-scoring game
You play passive mostly
I know many people will disagree with me but your real rank is your 1s rank the rest is just smoke and mirrors
Not really because 2s and 3s need teamwork but its not very wrong
I'd agree if 1s was similarly popular compared to 2s
1s rank isn't affected by teammates so that's good, but also doesn't represent team play skills
1s is oyur mechanical rank, 3s is your teamwork rank, 2s is your mental rank
fr i be saucing up passes call me a passtronaut
That's definitely not right lol
i need to work on ones 😦
1s is probably the least mechanically inclined gamemode
no way
If you said individual skill it would be right
I don't like 1s because it heavily involves kickoffs and I'm really bad at kickoffs
speed flip=mechanic=bam
Its just a 50/50 at the middle of the field
Me before I learned how to challenge
Using batmobile is creature
I'm pretty sure I know how to but i don't like kickoffs
If ur diamond or higher in 1s, pay attention to opponent on kickoffs, see which way they're going
I'm usually d3 or c1 in 1s
Then yeah you just need to think about strategy, the rest is just practice/experience
Any tips for making the push to gc 2?
in 1s?

the irony
but it is actually true, you get punished in 1s for shits you would go for in 2s or 3s where your teammates can cover for you
Nice well explaind I'm trying that
No shit its such a unique game
No like literally the mechanics are unique
Its not like a move your joystick and shoot the enemies fps or just a fifa game
You literally control every joint of the character
Wdym
Source? I wanna see who agrees with me 😀
sideswipe aint 3d and its limited

@signal lintel
is it possible to play split screen on PC with Keyboard + gamepad ?
Can you all touch the first shot in this training pack? 8640-A20C-557C-F727
I just want to know it's possible although a clip/video would be helpful. It requires a perfect fast aerial.
*** Im Champion 1***
Im Looking for some tips! must be gc1+
what kinda tips are you looking for? mechs or gamesense?
both kinda
Im silver 2
Can anyone help me get better?
play more, focus on simple mechanics and getting consistent
you on pc?
yh
I mean like cam settings maybe
And training packs that can help me
probs just youtube it but as a rough guide anything between these is common
FOV:110 Distance: 260-290 Height: 90-110 Angle: -3 - -5 the rest is preference
and camera shake OFF
7EE0-F697-7453-7123 - kickoffs (worth putting a lil time into every now and then, after all it'll happen every game so get good at em)
ECD2-B77C-A5A0-BACD - air roll shots (just try score them if air rolling is too hard, try hit the shots with corner of car for max power)
5CCE-FB29-7B05-A0B1 - practice saving these shots to the corners (saves outfield are just passes to opponent a lot of the time)
other than that in freeplay practice hitting the ball hard and accurately, simple dribbles/pops
anyone got tips for a low plat 1's player and some good things to train while not in games
consistent dribbles and forward flicks
np
im looking for some1 to train me
silver 3 as of now but i used to be plat 1
i just lost a lot of skill after taking a year break
i cant get past s3
idk y
i need to get back my skill at air dribbles because i used to be really mechanical
i switched from nintendo to pc but all that muscle memory got lost
holdup dm me
U switched to kbm or still controller?
Ur plat 1 mate
Aint no mechanical plat
i used to be nintendo then to kbm
same
i used to hit a binch of flicks and resets so idk if i can consider that mechanical
i used to be plat js looking to get back my skill
anyone help me. ia m srtuck for a year in dia but i have 1 good day en 4 that i am trash aplat would even look good . i play training every day in custom trainings. but i keep missing balls having a badd position or being to late on the ball. nothing works
@worthy lava tryna help? im na-East
if you're consistently that bad after a year have you considered it may be input delay or a similar issue?
Any1 can coach me Na - east and silver 3
mechs or gamesense?
mechs
If u can get urself a controller
i lost all my old skill
my controller gives problems
besides i wanna get better on kbm
Well let's put the argument if ur mechanical or not aside,
U gotta learn the muscle memory again
yea but that was on nintendo
The only thing staying with u is ur gamesense
yea
you probs just need to play more and build muscle memory, until youve got decent control of you car, trying to learn specific things is a bit pointless. work on dribbles/flicks as a start as thatll give you the basic car control needed to go onto more advanced stuff
U could use workshop maps like rings or lethamyrs dribble maps for ur car control
Are there any coaches willing to do recorded replay analysis/live coaching for a c2-c3 3s team? (Please dm me)
ima practice better control of my car t hen air dribbles or flicks?? basically?
I could get yall to diamond if ur intrested
Car control is more important than ball control
yea
Champion 2-3
I did not stutter
Oh lmao
Lmao
start with grounded mechs, you dont need aerials stuff until champ and even then it isnt required. dribbles, flicks, bounce dribbles, hitting the ball hard
Sure if you want
Im c1 myself lol
Nice
Its not required but its no fun not being able to aerial
He can just work on getting a touch in the air
Airdribbles later
depends what you enjoy but by your logic everyone should just learn resets straight away as they're fun. im just giving advice purely on how to improve the quickest (from my experience) you can listen to all of it or none of it or the better option, take bits and add in stuff you enjoy
is using air roll nescessary??
Not in plat
free air roll, yes. directional air roll, no but it will give you more control later on
ok
Yeah fair enough, tho it will help him defend a bit
U on epic ?
mhm
There is a plugin
thats a good point tbf, shadow defence requires some ability to jump and hit the ball at at least top of the net height
Plugin called uh workshop maps loader by vsync i think
Some form of airroll is necessary later on
Free or direction
can someone who is ssl help me rank up these teammates are kinda bad
i didnt say anything about gamesense, i was saying start learning the easier mechs to give you car control then go on to learn harder stuff. i completely agree mechs are the way to improve
What's ur ranj
@worthy lava i dm u a pic is it that?
press x to doubt
If u use 2 directional u dont need free
I know some people who use both direction with no free
But both
rocket js crashed after i used the plugin
bit padantic but fair, free air roll is neccessary (unless you have both air roll bound) happy now
90%+ of players do not use 2 direction air rolls
Some form of airroll is necessary thats what nebz is saying
Its actually hard to learn both
I can do left and trying to learn right atm
He is in fact 2k+
.
Wait u play in crl no?
I think i follow u on twitter
having 1 directional air roll over one directinoal air roll as well as free air roll will put you at a disadvantage
What
They talking about whether free airroll is necessary or not
There should be a requirement to give advice
Clarify this
Because it's incredibly wrong
The channel would probably be dead
Unless I'm misreading
bruh how, some shots are only scorable with air roll shots, so if you have air roll right bound and need to air roll left to flip into the ball, you cant
Free air roll can air roll left
🍿
So ur shooting is the same with 0 airroll?
yes im saying both is better @orchid rock is saying you're fine with just 1 direction bound and no free air roll
.
Master? But u will need it binded?
correct, but if you have only one of them, you need free air roll too
If your gonna air roll, either have both directionals or 1 directional and free air roll.
There really isn't a point in having a singular one
Me who has all bound :(
See all bound is wild, but it works
thats what ive been saying 😭
Im thinking of removing my free airroll and replacing it with my right airroll
Sounds like a misunderstanding to me
I never use free airroll tbh
I barely use my free airroll tbh, it's on brake for me
it's just useful for speedflips
I use direction for speed flips
Yup
unsatisfying
Free air roll isn't nesssary, but neither is directional
Im in no position to talk im stuck c1 😭
i was simplifying for 99% of the player base who do not use both so mb
Problem solved
Does anyone know what mmr is c2
like 1200?
3000
99% of the playerbase doesn't have time to learn 2 air rolls
Damn
ye good luck
Im at 1130
same im at around 112
Wow thank u
which make my point more valid, it was helping some kid who just came from switch to pc and asked if he needed air roll
sad.. i wanted more lore
You have to check either at night for NA or early early morning when all the EU players are up
this server has died out. all the fun people are gone
They just get perma banned
feel like this server went downhill when they changed the lfg system but maybe just me
Not wrong
changed when they introduced msq
i never used lfg, i think only once to help someone else find people
is it really that bad now?
Ye
i used it to find 1v1's and now you cant do that really so
i'd sign
plus you cant laugh at all the "lf plat 2 teammate, have mechanics and be able to rotate, dont be trash" posts
i wonder why they changed it, i wasn't here when they did
my only guess was the amount of "ssl" bots
Does anyone know how to get stall bind for epic games ?
Hii, I'm having trouble with tournament's matchmaking. I can't join with my friend in the 3v3 and we are nearly the same rank in 2v2 and in tournament's rank we are the same rank. It keeps saying that we can't join because of rank difference. Why is this?
I have no clue
Does this happen to you as well? Or is it just me?
people who reply like this trigger me fr
are you 100% sure you and your friend have a similar tourney rank?
Ye he is plat as me. No clue why we can't join together
go away
What
LOL
It was to reduce boosting/carry services
3s rank
oh true
wut are your ranks last season
Thats probably why, depends on mmr
you can bypass it if you get a 3rd tho
Yes
Diamond 1
what was your friend's 3s rank
We are only 2, so we don't really play 3v3 rankeds. We end up being unranked last season. And we haven't touched it yet this one
that dude just got skill issues and needs to smurf in low rank turneys.
It sounds fun to do
Ffs
guys i need a name asap
👀
Bob
i fr cant get outta d3
have to carry every single game while one of my opponents clearly isnt playing at their rank
@pastel bloom
bahhh
season5 2s: d1 season12 2s: d1
im lower rank than i should be in 2s and everyone is bad
What rank should you be
anyone got any good training packs or custom maps for reading the ball off sidewalls and backboards. ive been lacking in that recently.
ssl
also some other good ways at getting consistent at awkward hits
What’s ur epic games
yes
What team do u play for
what is the 4 and 2 in rocket league???? how to activate the boost thingys like rumble
What team do you play for
Yes 😦
how
Silver 3
i can speed flip,airdribble,flick
You can't do those things 😦
i can blud
hes a troll
what mechanics

what is your goal
im looking for a coach
who wants to help a brotha out
I'm d3-c2 for twos and I'm tryna get better for my teamates
i play3's competitavly (idk how to spell lol)
like d3
yup
2's?
what is your 2's rank
ah gotcha
lol
im only doing threes causes im on the esports team
sure
Anyone using free air roll to help me with musties????
what does this mean
air roll and mustys are 2 different things
Yea
how are the 2 connected
I just use free air roll and directional is easier to musty
there is no air roll in a musty
I mean after a reset etc
yea
I can musty on ground decently it’s not that what I mean
do you mean getting the correct spacing behind the ball?
Yes
do you spin around backwards or just tilt down
Could we hop on a private match would be easier
ok
you can use boost to adjust also
you see this often in Breezis
boost in the right moment to get the car faster down and behind the ball
and then just do a musty
the crucial part is as always timing
boost too early and u fly upwards
am I supposed to not challenge first im bronze
depends on many factors
if you are last man its easier to secure the goal line
if you go challenge and be beaten its an open net for example in such scenario
higher skilled players might also only wait until you challenge to cut you
goated
Anyone able to coach me, im plat 3 div 4 and cant seem to break into diamond, 2s
anyone need a 1s coach and I can help U get out of plat and into diamond
i need a coach

Thanks this game is hard for me, really fun though and challenging
im a great free coach
i can coach you into diamond 1 if you want
people have trouble staying there but with my advice im sure you can reach it

someone help me
im hardstuck plat 3 peaked d2 looking for coach i dont know what keeps me in this rank pls help :(
im looking for someone atleast like champ to help me someone who knows there stuff
can somone like watch me play and tell me whats wrong
at plat 3 find a mechanic you enjoy and practice it. you can almost improve anything at that rank and get higher.
namely a few would be getting proper power on the ball and try to make sure your hits don't go somewhere an opponent can immediatly score it,
and improving recoveries to be able to play faster is always a important skill to improve
if u talking to me then im already a fast player i can recover i cant not SUPER consistant at airdribbling but i can with airroll and im even better without
im around 1700 and i don't airdribble often at all. you don't need crazy mechanics to get higher like air dribbling.
power on hits and fast recoveries will get you champ+ proper rotations to boot will get you almost to GC
but i can guarantee you aren't fast if you are plat sorry. its something even i still work on being better at. recoveries and just general movement around the field is an ever advancing skill especially with chain dashes/wall dashes...etc
can u watch my gameplay and tell me what im doing wrong
i wall dash aswell and i can zap dash sometimes
not very well though the timing is hard with my camera settings
if you wanna send me a replay i can go through it quickly. but again, at plat its a laundry list of things lol.
i cant send replays i dont got discord nitro
bro its 2kb
how do u donwload
But there's another "Rocket League" folder, where you can find logs, configuration, your save and your demos!
This folder is located at "Documents\my games\Rocket League\TAGame\Demos" for W8 & 8.1 and it seems it is "Librairies\Documents\my games\Rocket League\TAGame\Demos" for W7 (I put relative links, you might changed the default location of the documents, like me 😄 ; Don't know really for W7 as I don't have it right now).
Copy pasted from reddit
can someone coach me
uncoachable
coach me then
any ssl dm me do you only play the normal mods or do you just play they other ranked modes like rombole 2
thats why youve had 20+ accounts banned
i've never met an ssl that plays extra modes unironically
i have 0?
thats why your acc has been banned twice
zero? nah what
im plat 3 peak d2 can someone watch me play a match or two and tell me what im doing wrong?
@mortal quail can
@shadow spade wanna hop inna call ill mute up and share screen to show my gameplay so u can give me some tips
bro on that 360p screenshare
:(
wrong at btw
alsoi cant atm
yeah ik
idc if he capping if hes busy hes busy
he can coach me if he wants
can someone coach me
@mortal quail can
bro
idk if I'm high enough rank to coach but I can try 😭
sure
rank? can you coach me too
GC1 if that's okay
yeah thats good
do u want like tips and training resources kinda stuff or like replay analysis stuff
both
alright sure DM me what things you want to work on or a replay video/file (can't analyse replay until a few hours time though)
when do you think you'll be avaliable
I can send the tips now but I really don't know when I'll be able to do replay analysis, sometime within 24h but idk when exactly
unfortunate
-don't pass ball to opponents (learn how to clear properly)
-learn how to put proper power on the ball
-rotate far post at net
-don't cut rotatins upfield, if your in mid, and they get possession, you should probably rotate straight back, not attack it across the field a teamate is probably coming from a better position to do it
-work on recoveries
(if you are 99% of people C1+ but sub GC these are your problems)
if your C3 but can't get GC #3 and #4 are your problems more than likely (in my experience)
i do all of that
with an honorable mention for C3s who waste 100 boost on stupid and slow air dribble plays when they don't score most of them and recover horribly after
I do all of that and im plat
ya, but you do it slower
hence why you are plat
like the last person who just said they are plat and are fast... who after watching hte replay they flip like a baby learning to walk
no, i do it fast
blaming teamates doesn't matter. if you improve to a level where you are akin to a GC, you won't be plat. plain and simple lol
I am good enough to be gc
my tm8s are just that bad
and my opponents are almost always smurfs
shhhh
@mortal quail can coach you now
can you explain 4 a bit more, I'm struggling to visualise what you mean. Do you mean like if the opponents start pushing the ball to the opposite side you shouldn't turn towards it but rather continue to rotate out?
what did ero do 😭
he means if you push and miss or get a bad 50, dont rotate back through the play, rotate wide and let your teammate rotate in, same concept as rotate back post
be a discord mod
and be on genshin impact for 4 minutes
thats a bad combination @mortal quail, stay indoors
he probably doesn't want to coach rn
Im still gonna send people to him
he didn't mention anything about 50s or overcommitting or anything so I don't think that's what he's meaning
3 is "-rotate far post at net" yeah?
oops sorry I messed up I meant 4 I can't count 💀
tbh idk, seems like kind of a shitty tip, slower player mentality, to only push when 100% safe to do so
nah if I understand it right he's saying not to turn around and cut off your teammate if the opponent pushes it towards where your teammate is rotating through
yeah that makes sense
also wdym slower player mentality what's wrong with playing slow 😭
basically dont overcommit
using your time and playing slow are two different things
if you're waiting till tm8 is behind you to push all the time, you're already playing too slow, you should be pushing when you know tm8 will be back in time to defend if you get a bad play, not when your tm8 is alr there
allows your teammate to keep their momentum more efficiently, and allows you to apply pressure
if you have time and the ball, go ahead and use it
another story if you're just slow and doing smth like shadowing when tm8 is behind you alr
just push, ball gets back to tm8
waiting till your teammate is recovered is pretty standard though isn't it
like if you commit without your teammate behind you you just concede
Yes and no, but if you wait for them to fully get behind you before you push, it makes them more awkward and is honestly just slower, will prob start to stagnate at around mid gc1 if you do
ofc if you play a lot of 1s or are good at scoring, rotation speed doesnt really matter, just beat everyone and score
idk it's not like speed is that important
like you want to slow down the play when out of possession
the ssl i know does
he plays hoops
gameplay-tips
any tips on how to do air mechanics better ??
Bc my movement on the ground is good but I can’t do anything in the air
I've beaten zen before and it's worth playing dropshot
And ssl
Keep grinding training packs, free play
Whats your rank?
theres tons
someone can help me kearn speedflip on kbm?
someone help, im in plat 1 but everytime i play i have the worst possible luck and get absolutely horrible teamates. I can speed flip, half flip, i know how to rotate and i have good defence, how do i get out of plat?
Never blame your tm8
alwyas blame your team8
No
Adapting to teammates 101🔖 by Dogi
🟢 Basics:
🔹Aggressive teammate:
Usually you want to play as second man, support their plays and let them do whatever. You want to be the person who is "always" back to defend. Make sure that you only go for the ball when you teammate is behind you.
🔹Passive teammate:
In this case you will have to push up and make something happen, doesn't mean you have to chase the ball but you will be the one to attack most likely. This obviously requires a lot more mechanical skill.
The one thing you want to avoid is having 2 aggressive players on the field or 2 passive players.
🟢 Advanced:
🔹Picking up patterns in your teammates play style:
Basically if somebody does something twice in the same/similar situation you can safely assume that they will do it again. This can lead to faster decision making and maybe team plays.
🔹Activating strengths and filling in for weaknesses:
Just like you and everybody else your teammates can be good at 1 or 2 things and at suck at everything else. Your basic objectives would be to 1 become a more rounded player and to 2 active your teammates strengths. For example if they are really good at backboard reads then you could flick the ball up for them. Filling in for weaknesses is going to be a lot harder and that's why it's important to have a proper mix of game sense and mechanics and one way to do that is to play 1 vs 1.
🔸Getting a consistent teammate:
-Is going to be better in the short term because you don't have to worry about adapting to a new play style every game
-(If you end up ditching them) Is going to punish you because you probably won't have as much knowledge and experience with adapting to different play styles.
I would also suggest that you try to focus more on yourself. I know teammates will eventually piss you of in that case just take a quick break and resume the session later. Try to focus more on what you can do to make the match go better and what you can fix in yourself.
