2 things that should help ranking up there. 1. try not to chase, mostly many will and if u play a bit more passiv u dont double commit and will have more chances, 2. try and get consistent with powershots on target out of multiple positions. this combi can get u to around dia

so plat in 1s like to go for the ball with absolutely no sense of what they are doing whatsoever, try getting powerful hits around them and taking boost when its safe to so that you dont overcommit ofc, the bangs will help throw them off and make them commit and it leads to free goals. Also practice small bounce dribbles to really maxamize the power you can get, even in higher ranks like gc2+ bounce dribbles are really effective if played correctly, but as a plat, obv you cant do the super advanced ones, so try setting up smaller ones and getting power off of them on the opponenets net

try to get a feel for the game and set some keybinds you think suit you, this game is super hard to progress in so starting in the right steps is key. get a feel for how the ball feels and how your car moves, after getting more advanced with that, then you can start changing deadzones and stuff like that. Mechanics and rank come with time so as long as you start in the right direction and dont try to advance too quickly then you should be alright
