here are some of my general tips. I recommend picking one or two things and focusing on them. Play your games or practice in freeplay and make sure you're doing those 1-2 things. Once you got em down move onto the next

play smarter, take less risks, position around your teammates. Don't go for shit you can't hit. Focus on basic mechanics and ground plays, play ones

Everyone thinks they know the basics but 90% dont. Be able to control the ball well, well off a wall (not flipping), catch it, catch it coming down a wall/off an aerial, hit it off of a bounce, make cuts and basic outplays, have quick and effective turns with powerslide. This is the stuff you should be practicing in training, not flip resets lmao

KEEP POSESSION. People literally always always always throw away the fucking ball. Powerful hit does not mean good. You need intention with your hits. Sometimes that includes booming it but it needs a strong purpose. When you're playing, think about every hit that you make what did that accomplish, did it help us keep the ball and get closer to scoring, or did it give the other team a chance to make a play?

for rotation, just go backpost and be goalside to the play when your teammate it back. Otherwise shadow (big thing right here - shadow defend). Be in position to react to whatever your opponent does next. Be very careful challenging as last man back, it is extremely easy to just challenge early and whiff or get a bad 50. You're taking a gamble so make sure it's safe or necessary.

when it comes to teammates, trust that they know what they're doing and have aa plan, but dont assume they'll actually accomplish it

essentially all of these tips boil down to minimizing risk. Only take risky plays if you have to or if you're sure a teammate can cover you and there's good payoff.

Play more ones. They're really great for practice. Play it slow, work on outplays and playing def properly
