all i can say is just wait for the ball to come for you tbh. if ur teamate is cutting roatations and ball chasing just let them do it. Know when its your time to go for the ball and not go for 50/50’s 24/7. And dont give the opponents the ball constantly. try keep possession and make a play or a pass etc.

know when the opponent if fake challengeing or they are giving u the ball. think in your head for example. Okay he is leaving it possible 50/50 or is he backs off more i know its my ball.

Pretty sure it depends on your controller, you can use 3rd party software to make any controller square, but then that uses some type of algorithm to do so, and makes the inputs less precise.

It actually is better, like factually. It's technically faster, since you have access to the corners of your flips, while circle deadzones don't go as far technically. and speed on a flip is determined by that distance, it is literally factually better to use square deadzone. Maktuf has a video on musties for example, where he shows certain flips you literally can't do on circle deadzone that you can on square, and that's why its recommonded for freestylers

Keep doing shadow defense, and make sure you dont push up too far on offense unless you are absolutely certain it will result in a goal. practice back post rotations, and for the love of god when your teammate hjas the ball dont sit up right behind him, be positioned at the center

Anyone have advice on how to get started using directional air roll? Ive been using free since I started playing and switching to directional feels so weird, especially on the ground.

The timing I use for the flip cancel is about a half second after I hear the flip sound. You want to make your car look like its doing a clean diagonal air roll forwards while maintaining a forwards motion. Also, it helps to slightly drift into the flip, as it allows for a more narrow angle

Hey guys GC2 here and Im wondering if im doing speed flips wrong or at least inefficently.

I speed flip by flipping diagonally, cancelling straight down, then adjusting afterward

However, I believe you can just speedflip by holding DAR, flipping forward, then cancelling down. Is this way much more consistent since you dont have to worry about messing up your diagonal flip with the other way I mentioned?

For example, while doing an air dribble, you could speed flip the DAR way without having to stop your air roll.

Cuz with the other way if Im trying to speedflip off the wall, I have to wait that split second after air rolling away from the wall to do the speedflip since im flipping diagnoally with the stick

Seems kinda minor but Im willing to do whatever it takes to get faster

GC1 here, recently started doin these aswell and from my experience what i do is i will use directional for the flip, alter my cancel depending on if my cars nose must go up and what not, then change to DAR (i do the speedflip in the same direction as my DAR), works fairly well for me and since i started practicing it, its gotten alot more consistent but still needs more practice
