That sounds like a positioning problem. A lot of the time, you'll hear higher ranked players say you'll never want to be "under" the ball like that because you are essentially playing blind at that point.

You have no idea where your m8 is or where the opponents are.
Best thing to do, rotate to back post or behind your teammate to take the ball from that position. They SHOULD be behind you and have a better eye and angle on the ball
