Stamina depends on the length of the race, Sprint (800m-1200m) will need a lot less than Long (2400m+)

Power is the ability to "power" through other horses, passing them. It's more important the further back you want to play.

Guts is basically a dump stat

Wits is for skill activation chance and more skill points I would say this is probably the 3rd most important stat after Speed/Stam or Power/Speed or Stam/Speed
