as a former af main imo af is only good versus late game decks because you get really strong late game you can beat pretty much everyone except rune because rune is the yugi protagonist class

that can just exodia cocytus and win

but you get blasted versus decks that can be aggro early

and everyone is playing aggro rn aggro abyss, midrange sword is aggro flexible, forest is aggro, aggro dragon even dirt rune is kinda aggro
