flametail is probably the best pioneer at this point and that's mostly because s3 can make her not-quite-invincible during its duration, while giving her pretty solid damage output. siege s2 is still pretty solid, especially with the 'pioneers using skills gain attack/def' relic in is5
but, vulp having HP regen makes her a pretty solid lane holder, and she does arts damage so she can beat up higher def enemies
