just focus on a group of characters, give them a start, middle and an end, and then use them from time to time on events or other parts of the story, BA and Uma do that amazingly, WuWa kinda does that with the character stories (main story not that much), Nikke does it with their side stories

the ones that does it the worst are the ones that add stupid ass lore dumps or world building with dialogue that no one gaf (Genshin, HSR, to put an example)
