my surface book 2 runs windows 11 pro completely fine, it's just tiny surfaceDEX issues and some slight driver issue, but nothing hard to fix

also I had to upgrade because surfaceDEX for some reason refused to work on windows 10

8th gen intel is minimum requirement for windows 11 and will run slow ngl

yeah I assumed so, surfaceDEX I believe so for the surface book 2 lost some support or updates for windows 10

I only run Windows 10 on my Surface Book 2 because I play old NFS games that are a PITA to run in Linux with Lutris

look at apple, they barley let you install macOS on anything

I run it in wsl2 / hyper-V, or one of my 8 laptops, though drivers barley worked for WLAN and shutdown protocols on legitimate hardware

well kinda agree but disagree, because if the OS was truly a slave OS, I would never be able to change bootmgfw.efi, change boot keys or do low level stuff with existing windows tools (No 3rd party)

You can't edit .dll files or any windows core program files yes, but you can swap em

(don't actually swap them unless you know what your doing)

I meant slave as in well...you're a slave to what Microsoft wants to do to Windows and thus to your PC

as long I can remove it, and so far, I was able to with just windows settings.
If I couldn't remove it, that would be a problem!

iv look into em, the SSD one was many things going wrong, sure update did play a role, but wasn't a main reason, and healthy SSDs (as far as I know most people have) can't get effected

Yeah those sucked.
Well at least they got patched immediately, no one is a million times perfect, besides, windows is on 1.2 billion devices, so it's a lot of hardware to maintain with out breaking it
