Discussion of LTSC versions of Windows is not allowed here outside of #sysadmin or for the purpose of "debloating" Windows. This is because LTSC cannot be legally acquired by consumers easily, making it illegal for most people to use, unless you have a legitimate volume licensing setup with your organization that they allow you to use.

If you have a legitimate LTSC license and wish to discuss it for purposes other than debloating, please use #sysadmin. For tech support with LTSC, contact Microsoft Support or the organization that provided your license. Otherwise, refer to rule 11 and [this message](#community-updates message).

my surface book 2 runs windows 11 pro completely fine, it's just tiny surfaceDEX issues and some slight driver issue, but nothing hard to fix

#

also I had to upgrade because surfaceDEX for some reason refused to work on windows 10

I don't wanna re setup everything

#

I only run Windows 10 on my Surface Book 2 because I play old NFS games that are a PITA to run in Linux with Lutris

Windows is proprietary
Linux is FOSS

FOSS gives user freedom
Windows gives the user enslavement

You can't edit .dll files or any windows core program files yes, but you can swap em

(don't actually swap them AllGood unless you know what your doing)

I meant slave as in well...you're a slave to what Microsoft wants to do to Windows and thus to your PC

Did they ever fix it? ๐Ÿค”

A couple months ago there was a ton of reports and talk about a Windows update (KB5063878) that supposedly was causing, or at least associated with, SSDs failing. Everyone was pointing fingers, with Microsoft saying they couldn't reproduce it, same for SSD manufacturers. But anecdotally, there was a lot of credible st...
