Have you checked your RAM sticks? RAM is a common factor in a page fault.
Well no i ve tried everything besides that
@cobalt socket how do I check the ram sticks? just disconnect one and tgen the other to see if its working then?
Remove one ram stick and then boot. If the issue occurs, then try the other one without the first one plugged in.
okay ill try thst when im home, got an appointment, any other things I can do if that doesnt work?
Try reinstalling
windows?
yes
only had my pc like 6 months so hoping it isnt done for😞😞
it probably isnt
ill try, means all my saved stuff is wiped tho doesnt it, like I can't save all my apps etc. can I?
yes
however try your BIOSes diagonostics to make sure your ram isn't fucked
or try memtest
ill try do the booting thing when im home first with the ram sticks then ill check BIOS
because if it instantly blue screens then I can't open that
no. it's a boot thing
you put it on a USB following it's instructions and boot from it
it's seperate to windows
ohh rigjt so I needa download it onto a usb from another device
no you'll need another device running windows
how does that work? I've got an old laptop which runs enough to download things onto a usb but idk what u mean
@cobalt socket okay so no matter which ram stick is in, it still happens
I tried this and it still bluescreened, running memory diagnostic rn to see if thats it
idk what else to do
im restarting my system to before the bluescreen shit
recovered to the 6th of October and it booted fine 🙂
just have ti verify some game files bc they wont start
I'd try some more serious diagnostics tools (requires a USB stick to set up):
https://rtech.support/guides/memtest/memtest86/
Or keep it simple, physically remove the RAM sticks except one and see if it's stable.
The other common culprit is your disk.

I did the ram stick thing and it didn't help, however a system restore point from a few days ago fixed the issue
so it could have been something I downloaded?
i believe there was no issue until I had downloaded avast antivirus last night
Maybe, or it's intermittent and comes back after some time. Reinstalling Windows (not "reset") will give us a good foundation to test
if it comes back ill do that, but I think it must have been avast
because some anti viruses can cause that from what I've read
I'd lean more on hardware issues but alright, time will tell
since it started fine after a system restore point im assuming it must have been something I downloaded
